I dont really have much to say today, but thought I would check in because I know sometimes people worry when we dont.

She is fine, all things considered. I will send an email to the vet and see if i can pick up some a/b's because her UTI will return with a vengance this week, Im sure...at some inopportune time.

Will also pick up some new ketostix today.

Yes, we are all here for Latte. Thank you for thinking of us :lol: I just got caught up on your posts from yesterday. Some were funny. Latte had a pretty good day, yesterday. I hope she has gotten up on your bed again, since falling. You can move the lb away from your head, now, can't you :lol: since she is walking better.
I feel your frustration. I hope she turns this day into a nice one, too. Latte can do that. She's amazing.
More grass time would be good, too :-D

What would you think about setting up a number as a "feed Karo" point (e.g., if there's a 100+ point drop by +2 or some such point)? Or maybe feeding less HC at +1 and adding more at +2 if necessary.

I think it might be worth starting to shoot early in the pm cycle, since she gets longer duration at night for some reason.

Tonight I will start by shooting at +11.5, morning will be+12.5.

it's nice that Latte hit blue, even with the Karo. It seems like it did what I think you wanted, slowing down the drop but still letting her get to good numbers. She's bouncing now, so if you want to shoot a little early tonight then go for it.

Hi Libby,
I dont know if you had a chance to look at Latte's ss, but her numbers looked something like this:

AMPS-457
+1-379 (78pt drop...no karo in food until after this test)
+2- 411 ((32pt rise...after eating about 1/2 can food with karo)
+4-330 (81pts in 2hrs)
+5-224 (106pts in 1hr)
+6-165 (59pts in 1hr)
+7-159
+9-336 (177 pt rise in 2hrs)

those are big drops in short periods of times, back to back dont you think?

My plan was not to shoot early just today, but every night. She bounces every night anyway and drops in the a.m.'s before her insulin shot takes effect, so... it makes sense. I would like to aim for a schedule of shooting +11pm and +13am. I cant see how it could make her higher anywhere in the process. She already bounces about as high as the meter will record (600). And she is not getting enough insulin to drop her too low. She drops in the a.m. between amps +1 and +2 (before insulin sets in), so its not like a late shot is going to hurt either. It might just slow things down.
