It terrifies me that it looks like Watson went really low during the night and the alarm on his sensor did not alert me. I see he has bounced now but I’m wondering if I should reduce his insulin by .25 this morning? He has only been in his range a few times in the last eight days so I don’t know why this crazy drop last night

Yes, if you are following SLGS, a drop below 90 with a human meter is an immediate reduction.
His new dose would be 1.75U.

The drops were not documented by any meters, they happened during the middle of the night and the Libra just picks that up, but did not alert me to the drop. Would I still reduce?
Here were his numbers during the day yesterday

Ideally you want to verify Libre lows especially when they affect dosing decisions, but considering he fell below 50 and the reduction point for SLGS is 90, I would take the reduction.

I did reduce. I’m concerned that the last couple days he hasn’t eaten his breakfast. Well, all of my cats are having a very hard time adjusting to pate. My vet says feed them whatever they’ll eat. It’s more important that they have food but that kind of goes against everything. I’ve learned here.
 
Take the reduction tonight as you need to be safe. When you are around and check a Libre low then do so. Please remove the 911. Thanks.

There are low carb foods with various textures besides pates. Or it that they don't like wet food and are kibble addicts?
Like with humans, food is an essential part of the treatment of diabetes. Feeding carbs and then giving insulin to counteract the carbs is like trying to put out a fire while adding fuel to it :-)

I have tried various different foods, not only brands but consistencies and so far I’m down to about three that all four of my cats will eat. I generally only give kibble as a last resort or as a small snack. I have several of the foods that they will eat @ 13 carbs. I was thinking that that could be a last resort when Watson needs his shot, but will not eat what was offered. I have been throwing hundreds of dollars of food down the Garbage disposal since we started low-carb and I can’t continue to do that for much longer as I am retired and on a fixed income.
