Not bad numbers....last night and to start today. Zoe is eating as long as it is cooked chicken breast, she is balking at baby food, cat food (even her favorite flavors) - I have tried adding FortiFlora and freeze-dried chicken on top - but no go. She will walk away from her dish with cat food on it. I am going to try some FF Elegant Medley next, I know it is higher in carbs, but I need her to eat something other than just chicken breast.

Update - Elgant Medley eaten, but not gone - at least she ate a few bites of it. I have some injectable pepcid to give her at noon, so maybe that will help, too.

She is purry and alert this morning - so it is a better morning.

Hi Sherry & Zoe,
Come on, Zoe, let's enjoy some good food today, OK?
Glad to hear that she's eating, even if only chicken. Maybe the cooked chicken breast has corrupted her!! Have you tried any of the lower carb Merrick flavors? (Cowboy Cookout at 5%, Grammy's Pot Pie at 8%, Surf n Turf at, I think, 3%). Most kitties love these and they contain the required vitamins and nutrients that would be missing from plain chicken breast.
Anyway, I hope that Zoe will continue to feel better and better.

Morning Sherry! Moonie is loving chicken breast also, & Copper would have eaten only that if I let him.
What I did was cut up the chicken breast into little pieces & stuck the pieces into the wet food(we use FF beef& FF chicken feast)--So while they were eating the chicken, they wer getting the food too..
Give it a try, worked here, as once the chicken is gone, they ate the food ;-)
Moonie is 180 at +3 today too--Hope you see green for Zoe today! Hugs from us!

Hello LL!

Zoe continues to do OK. She is eating FF Elegant Medley Wild Salmon with Garden Greens (9%) along with her chicken.....I consider this to be a good thing. and it doesn't seem to be bothering her numbers too badly either. She is pretty tired today and is sleeping a lot but she isn't hiding and is asking for food.

@Ella - I think I tried the Merrick's in 2008 when Zoe was first diagnosed with FD and she turned up her nose at them - but it might be a good time to try them again and see what she thinks, now! Thanks for the suggestion - I had forgotten about them.

@Roni - I tried that yesterday and she just picks the chicken out and leaves the food, BUT I keep doing it, so she is getting a little bit of food each time with the chicken.

@Karrie - No, I have never syringe fed and truthfully I'm not sure I could. Zoe is quite a pistol when it comes ANYTHING being put in her mouth - I have a difficult time pilling her - Thankfully she is starting to eat a little bit of kitty food and I hope that will continue.

Thanks for all your well wishes yesterday - I was so upset to see her not eating and to look like she was miserable. I appreciated the support.......

Thanks for the KTSS - the massage was great and the chicken soup was my favorite....but I ,ove anything with chicken in it ;-) Thanks for coming to see me - you all made me feel better! ~Zoe

Hi Sherry. Zoe's numbers are nice IMHO, for a kitty that isn't feeling up to snuff. I'm glad she's feeling and eating a little better than yesterday.
I wish I had some good eating hints, but Checks isn't a good eater, even when he feels well.
