Jenn --

I'm not overly comfortable with making dose recommendations without having the data even laid out in a condo. It's too easy to miss something that could be important.

Wonton's mom has been posting in Feline Health. She will be posting here as soon as she's able. She texted me this morning worried because Wonton BG was 220. She was asking if she should give insulin. Since Wonton is still 50% on HC food I'm not sure how "real" that # is. I posted the dosing question here since Wonton's mom was not able to but I did not get a reply by the time she needed to leave. I told her 1.5u should be ok but if she was nervous about it being to much since she would not be home to just give her 1u. She chose to give 1unit.

Can someone please advise me on the best way to handle situations that arise like this? I know I'm not a dosing advisor but I also can't leave people I am trying to help with no answer.

She also posted in Feline Health if someone could help her set up a SS. I have to admit I had some wonderful people look over me and give me step by step instructions along the way, I was wondering if someone could do the same for Carolyn. She is one of the few owners that has been willing to even join FDMB so I really want to help her as much as possible.

Thanks
Jennifer

I completely agree with you Sienne. Now that I have "introduced" her to LL I am hoping Carolyn will be here more often. I will try to help and encourage her post as much as possible.

Marje has helped a few people with getting their SS and Profile set up. I'd send her a PM.

If Carolyn is testing and can monitor, it will make a difference regarding whether she shoots. These are the same concerns with everyone. It's very hard to make a recommendation with limited data especially if the caregiver isn't going to be home to keep an eye on numbers.
