Looks like Willie continues to get back on track! Still feeling like i've got a touch of a cold, but I had a dream in which I had the most lovely soup... And a massage??? Has me feeling better already! :lol: :lol:

Btb for a bit, then laundry and open houses later. My sister is coming over for dinner, so cooking up something that will hopefully be yummy. With the house hunt being for real, i'm clamping down pretty hard on the food budget and shopping even more with coupons. Going to try the those new kraft homestyle mac and cheese...the alfredo one, doctored with spinach, mushrooms and chicken breast. Pairing it with a lettuce/pea dush that is supposed to use romaine heads, but going to try salad mix ($0.25/bag!), and maybe a tossed salad (lots of salad mix to eat!).

Sounds like you have a busy day. Ummm...that mac and cheese sounds so yummy! Could you send some over with Willy today for the bucket brigade? I'm glad Willie is getting back on track. BTB cuddles sounds great. I wish I could go btd, but I've had too much coffee. When the caffeine wears off, it will hit me. Sometimes all I have to do is start reading, and I get sleepy. I'm reading Shania Twain's autobiography, and it's so interesting I hate to put it down, but I get so sleepy reading. Enjoy your day; it souns like fun.

Found another open house that looks extremely promising...just went on the market today. can hardly wait until 1:00 to go see it!

Found more pics of the house on the listing agency site. I am seriously in love. Please send lots of good vibes today... I am soooo antsy to go see it. Open house is in 2 1/2 more hours!

And with the cat door, I wouldn't have to let the kids in and out when Willie is entertaining!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: That red carpet in the attic is scary, but I'm betting I might be able to negotiate a replacement of that at closing. Would like to update the countertops as well, but the cabinets appear to be well made, so thinking a dark stain and/or paint on them.

What a gorgeous house. I love the foyer/entrance way. I love all the windows and a fireplace too. I want a fireplace so badly. I'm in the process of replacing windows a couple a time. Stupid windows are so freaking expensive. Your dinner sounds awesome too. I can't even make bread come out right in a bread maker. I'm hopeless when it comes to cooking or baking. I admire people who can be creative and cook at the same time.

Miss Christie, I am sorry we have not stopped by your condo recently, we have been quite busy. I hope you and Willie are well, he seems to be giving you the most beautiful numbers!

Something that works for me when I am back and forth fighting a cold/flu/sickness, is this herb called Cats Claw. It needs to be the "inner bark" (you can usually find that in the description and such). When I was working with children, everyone was always getting sick, I have a pretty crummy immune system and I was able to stay healthy. My DH (never gets sick) came down with something when we came back from our emergency.. he was really really sick (never happens). I started to get sick and took it for 2 days and it never got any worse. It's truly amazing!! :-D

I hope the house hunt is coming along!! I looked at the link--- that is ADORABLE!!! It reminds me of the houses I grew up in when I lived in NY. I love them so much, there is something charming about them that I haven't found out west (the houses out here are laid out nicely, though). I especially love that they have yards--- front and back! My DH had never seen anything like it before (actually, when we went to Buffalo it was a complete and total mind trip for him--- the houses, the food, and everyone's attitude are unlike anything he's ever experienced and he never believed me that it was totally and vastly different from here until then)

Your dinner sounds amazing! Let me know if it's any good-- I am always looking for simple meals that I can doctor up to be something awesome! I am making ribeye steaks seasoned with fresh ground pepper and some red wine with some vodka pasta with mushrooms, spinach, and broccoli.

Thanks everyone!! The offer is in, and now I have to wait. nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile The place is not only cute, but has a sump pump in the basement, a new roof and thermal windows in addition to a new kitchen/appliances. The color on the walls is actually perfect for me, so I won't even have to paint. There's a newish washer/dryer in the basement as well. Because of the crappy weather, the agent running the open house didn't think they'd get much traffic today... PLUS, the owners had put in a bunch of work into the house...then had to transfer to another city for work, so they're very eager to sell. Really hoping I'm the only offer tonight.

Hoping that Willie rockstars this cycle tonight like he did this morning... so far, so good!

Dinner turned out great! I cubed maybe 2 cups of creminis and 2 chicken breasts and cooked those, then wilted a huge handful of spinach into it. dumped that in with the pasta, then mixed up the sauce in the pan I'd cooked the chicken/mushrooms in to make sure I got all the flavor out of that pan. It was super easy and REALLY good. It was the Kraft Homestyle Macaroni in the Alfredo variety. We did the baked option, which involves sprinkling a little mozzarella on top and baking for 10 minutes before serving. I was actually impressed that something that good could come out of a bag!

Willie has great numbers today.

The house looks perfect. Do you know if it is a Sears house? (Sears Robuck marketed houses in the 20s, 30s and 40s; you could choose them from the Sears house catalog and they would send your contractor everything needed to build them and finish them.) My sister has one (near Syracuse NY), and a friend of mine here in Saranac Lake has one that reminds me of your prospective house. You might be able to check it out. Some of the Sears house catalogs have been reprinted. Anyway, I hope that your offer is accepted. Fingers and paws crossed!!

OMG, Got the house!!!! Totally wasn't expecting to hear back tonight!! We had offered $2K under asking plus closing costs and warranty, they countered with asking price but with all our concessions, and at that point, there was no sense trying to come back and negotiate such a small difference... especially given that it is late and it might take until morning to get an answer.... and someone might have put in another offer by then. It is just so crazy that I got the tip on this one from an email update I had set this morning, and less than 24 hrs later, barring any inspection issues, the house is mine! Ella, I'll have to find out if it was a Sears house... it wouldn't surprise me as there are several homes in the area that all look pretty much the same (down to identical additions on the back!!).

Willie is on the move tonight. Not going to slow him down too much... if he's in for a dosecrease, want him to earn it before I head back to work for the week!!

I do have one worry... they did a cat door from the kitchen to the garage, then another from the garage to the patio. Even with baby gates leading the way, I'm not sure that Willie can figure out one cat door.... let alone two!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Wow... just checked out the distance from the new house to our two vet clinics... the family vet is just under a mile and a half away, and the emergency/specialty vet is around half a mile. Will make vet trips SO much easier!
