To answer your question from yesterday on the syringes - when the plunger is full pressed, the top of the plunger seal should align with the top of the zero line to be accurate. I don't see that in any of those 3 syringes, do you? The middle one was closest.

I was kind of confused by this since none of the three syringes meet this requirement, and I thought at least one of them should have been accurate. And then I thought to check the first syringe I used to practice with water and I think it comes closest to what you've described.

Makes me wonder if the current pack I'm using consists of defective pieces only.

Yes, this one looks as close to accurate as you can get. Some packs have almost all defective syringes.
