Good Morning, Everyone,
The LagoonMeister is on duty! Rusty had a good night, ate all of his nighttime food, and this morning we had a good morning routine. He's starting out green, so we'll keep an eye on him.
Sorry to have missed most of yesterday. Our visit to our friend Jean in the hospital in Burlington VT took most of the day, and in the evening I was too tired and emotionally spent to do board work. As I posted yesterday, she looked much better than we had been led to believe and we (3 of us) had a good visit. She is comfortable with her decision to let nature take its course. As she says, she had 88 really good years. She will be moved soon to a nursing home closer to home (as soon as a room becomes available), so we will be able to visit her more easily. I can't tell you what a great woman Jean is and how much we all love and admire her. Rusty was her "couch buddy" for our winter mountain-film series and when we viewed the last film (after Jean's accident), he looked all around for her. Jean had recently adopted a kitten (about 4 months ago). But because of her age she made arrangements then for one of her daughters to take him if she were to die or become incapacitated. "Sunny Sunshine" (a beautiful orange kitten, very active and playful) is now in his new home in Maine.
bbl, lots to do today,
