That's a much better way to start the day than those ugly reds you've been seeing! Remind me - are you using Neosporin to help Polly's ears? That can help take some of the sting out.

it's true - treats can be a great motivator. personally, ice cream is my bribe of choice! i could also have a bumper sticker "i stop at donut shops!" :lol:
much better cycle today, even with the high numbers mid-cycle. glad to see a little more insulin is helping. let's give the 1.0u a little longer and see if polly comes down even more.

Good suggestion. The Neosporin has helped. Thanks. She's really an amazingly easy cat to test, shoot. Especially since she's an "untouchable." I'm very proud of her. If she loses her appetite we may have a more difficult time, but right now if she wants her treats or her meals, she's jumping on the bathroom vanity without any trouble. A very brave little scaredy cat!

Funny, I had a dish of ice cream prepped on the kitchen counter for a little human treat tonight. Turned my back to get a spoon; Miss Polly was on the counter in a flash; I was faster, but I had visions of an ice cream spike at her PMPS+3 test! Guess I'll have to treat on boiled chicken breast, too.
The plan now is to go to 1.25 once cycle 6 at 1.0 finishes. The UP shot will be Saturday pm which is good since I don't work on Sunday. I'm still anxious about being out of the house for 7 hours each work day. But I do have 2 1/2 hours in the morning between shot and "must leave" time. I'll just have to see how it goes.
