Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (DGS fuel today... so so needed....), and Happy Wednesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, recently graduated from barista school! SWEET, double SWEET! So.... on my second official day on the job, I Elsa, kitteh barista proudly offer Mannie's patented 10 hour energy ~O) and my very own, orange vanilla mocha, smothered in chocolate whip and orange drizzle. And YES, underneath all that is a dollop of chocolate dpouble fudge ice cream. Dang good huh! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes yesterday. Wow, I am overwhelmed. I had breffis with my son - YUM! Good food, good times. It was great to share a birthday with him. He was born on my birthday so many years ago. What an awesome birthday present. We had a very nice time over pancakes and sausage and bacon and eggs scrambled with sausage veggies and cheese... and fresh biscuits! YUMMMMMM! I stopped in at a local plant nursery on the way home and bought myself a couple of hanging baskets - so now there are a few pretty flowers on my deck. YAY! Summer is coming.... :-D There was also lunch with a good friend, at a wonderful Mexican food restaurant in DT Seattle. WOW - really good! Chicken Fajitas! YUMMMM! It was a very nice mellow fun day.

On the way home after lunch I did stop in at the shelter. WOW! So many kitties!!!!, from young ones to seniors and in between, all colors shapes and sizes. I could have adopted them all. There was this one black male, such talker, and pawer. Too bad though that he needs to be the only kitty in the household. There was another Tabby female that had been there the longest time... her chart went back a few years. and here was a norwegian forest mix that was just gorgeous. He kept talking to me too. And there were two calico sisters that needed to be adopted together. I need to think on this one and go aback again, with DH in tow. Why do i get this feeling that I will be going home with more than one.    :-D

Have a great day everyone! I am on DGS duty the rest of the week, Today is swim day. I am so looking forward to that. Nicholas bought me a new swim suit for my birthday, so this grannie needs to be sure and wear it. :-D :-D I will try and get to condos when I can.

Kitties! Remember.... THINK BLUE! THINK GREEN!

So you're bring home a herd, eh ;-) ? We actually ended up doing that after our first kitty, Mr Kitty passed away. We decided to get TWO kittens, because Mario was lonely. At first, we ended up with three kittens, then 2 months later, we adopted a fourth! Then, a year later, Trix showed up on our door step  !!! Nuthin' like a house full of kitties....

Have fun with DGS!

Morning Michelle, sounds like you had a wonderful birthday. So nice you had breffifs with your son and how nice he was born on your birthday, double birthday celebrations. Yum on that breffifs. I love a good pancakes and eggs breffifs.
Elsa Lil Bit, thank you for the 10 Hour Energy coffee and oh boy, I am really loving your special coffee drink with the dollop of Double fudge ice cream. ~O) ~O)
Wow, with all the kitties. Good idea on taking DH. I bet one and most likely two will just take to you, and you will know they are the ones. When are you going back?
Have a wonderful time with DH and hope the weather is nice for an afternoon river venture.

I'm glad you had a good birthday yesterday. That's neat to share your birthday with your son. I'd want to take all the kitties home too. I hope you find just the right one, or two, or three. Enjoy your swim day with Nicholas.

Hi Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) LOL, and yes, it may be a herd. There were so many. Your story sounds much like ours several years ago. We had five at one time. It's cool, I like having a house full of kitties. :-D ad THX, will do with Nicholas.

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) THX, it was a great day yesterday. Good food(s), and fun times. I do enjoy my son's company. I know on all the kt ties. They had so many there, and one knows the all need a home. I expect so on the thought that a couple of them will take to us. there is one that sticks in my mind... that norwegian forest: a very friendly one. well, more than likely it will have to wait until the weekend, when DH can go too. THX on today - swim for sure and then whatever presents itself. I so hope the weather is good.
Auntie Ann! SWEET! I thinks my ice cream idea is a winner. I so hope the LL beans like it. I'm likin' this barista stuff!~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Morning Sienne ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the birthday - it was nice. I know on the shelters.... I wanted to help them all, give them all homes. One of them had been there such along time too.

Morning Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) THX, and I agree: it is fun to share the day with DS. makes it all kinda special. oh yes on wanting to help all those kitties. well when we go back i think we will find "the one" or two, three, four.... THX on DGS - t is alwyas such fun with him.

Hi, Michelle, what a great day yesterday! I'm glad you were able start off your day with b'fast with your DS (double birthday! awesome!!). Then lunch, flowers, and kitty-shopping? What a perfect day!!

Good luck with the kitty visits ~ talk about being a kid in a candy shop! I'll take one of each, please :-D

Enjoy your day!

Hey Auntie Michelle, I'm part Norwegian Forest Cat, so I'm biased, but whatever kitty/kitties you take home, they will be great. And they will be lucky kitties to come home with you!
Rusty

Hi Michelle, We are so glad that you enjoyed such a terrific birthday. It is fun to share birthdays with family. One of my sisters was born on my mother's birthday, and one of my nieces was born on mine (I was 12 years old and in the middle of my birthday party when my sister was rushed to the hospital. I hardly even noticed!!)

Have a fun swim day with Nicholas.

Hugs to you and scritches to our Kitteh Barista (Elsa, the 10-hour was needed this morning and it was delicious)

Ella & Rusty

I was reading thru and I was whispering "norwegian forest" and then I saw where you were already thinking that way.
I'm a bit partial to those, we had a sweet girl years ago. My son is begging for a kitten but I'm too afraid I'd wind up with it when he moves out
and Shadow doesn't need the house dynamic changing. He'd like to get a job overseas ( like Germany) so he should wait until he gets that job to adopt.

How wonderful that someone will be getting rescued!

Well I'm with Sienne .. going to shelters is hard cause I want to take them all home too! I am sure you'll find that one .. or two .. :-D that tug at your heart strings ..

Michelle, it sounds like you had a birthday to remember! :-D You should take Nicolas to the shelter too. So many cats can be great with adults but afraid of kids. And yes, shelters are dangerous places. My last two adoptions were the "longest at shelter" from my time working/volunteering there.

Hey Auntie Michelle Bean,

I came from a shelter! It was my bean's friend who found me and put me in my bean's arms. She said I was the one, but my silly bean wasn't convinced and kept looking at the other kittehs in that nasty place. I hissed at all of them to keep them away from my new bean! And I snuggled all nice in her arms and whispered to her, you belong to me and we are going home together!

My bean is so lucky she listened to me and did what I told her!

I bet you will find kittehs that will do the same with you! Just remember to pack your car with lots of transporters!

Hey Miss Lil Bit, my bean says she would like a double delivery today. She said that fudge and orange and dollop (what's a dollop) sounds extra yummy, so she wants two. But only give her one, my bean is a being a piggy!

Signed Maui the Magnificent and I am you know!

What a great birthday! Good idea on taking Nicholas along to the shelter! Then you will have to bring them all home!   Whoever comes home with you sure will be a lucky kitteh kittehs!

Elsa, KB! Thanks for the early delivery! We really needed it this morning! I really think you have something w/ your special ingredient! -- Auntie Annbean

Hey, Michelle -

Glad you had such a great birthday! I didn't realize it was your son's birthday, too - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him, too! Doug and Joseph share a birthday and most of the time they think it's pretty neat. ;-)

Oh, I have to stay away from the shelters because I'd like to give them all a home! And, Jessica?! Well, I could NEVER take her there. Are you kidding?! When I scroll down my home page and she sees all of the posts from DCIN - you can hear the awwwwww's from over my shoulder! She usually says, "Well, that one's not black, so we can't adopt that one." I scroll QUICKLY if one is black or black/white, so she doesn't send me all over the country adopting kitties!

I know you're having a ball with Nicholas - I so enjoy the pictures you post! I'm lovin' Sammy being a cuddly baby, but will glad when we can take him places and he's old enough to enjoy it. Haven't seen him since Easter, but heading down to see him in 9 days - WOOT!

I look forward to seeing pictures of the passle of kitties you adopt!!! :-D

Have a great evening -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

I'm glad it was a good birthday. I hate going to shelters. There are way too many kitties and I want to take them all home.
My feelings exactly. It was so hard to "shop" for Mako ... I still think about a couple of the other cats that were contenders, but I have to think of my current cats now. You will let us know exactly how this goes down, right?

Happy Birthday - sorry I missed it. Good that you had a nice breakfast with your son! What a nice birthday present!

Happy Evening everyone. I hope you all had a great one today. Nicholas and I spent it at the pool, a normal Wednesday activity for us. The energizer FISH was just that. ENERGIZED.  We did EVERYTHING there, ad the some. Still loves the underwater and wants to be tossed in as often as he can. What a hoot. Today we closed out the morning session, after being there over 2.5 hours. They take a break in the play area and smaller big pool for about 30 minutes so the guards can get a breather, about 11:30 or so. He was so funny, when they made their announcement, he asks one of the guards with the saddest most pathetic voice: "pool CLOSED?!?!?!?"  I suspect that it they didn't close for a few for these breaks that we'd still be there.... We also walked the trail next to the pool too. He has developed a fondness for it, so why not. Then he gets some outdoor time too. SWEET! I will post the Picassa links in the LLIPS condo tomorrow.

Hi Josie - THX, it was a good one yesterday - I had a great time. Yep, love the double birthday thing - it is kinda fun. OH yes on the kitty store - that is exactly what it is like for me: once of each please! ;-) :-D :-D

Hi Ella - THX on yesterday, and I agree: it is fun to share a birthday. I/we enjoy it, makes it even more special.
Auntie Ella! heeheehee - I loves those scritches. I am so happy that I am dong OK. It is hard work, but I likes it! see you tomorrow!!~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh Barista
Rusty - I am with you! I think you Norwegian Forest Cats are pretty darn cool. So maybe huh! We will go back and see on Esme ( she's the NFCat) and maybe one or two others. So many kitties that need homes. And thanks you - you are one cool dude. I like what you wrote ~ Auntie Michelle

Hi Liz - I dunno! But I suspect more. in past years he was always the one bringing home the strays: "but.... they need a home!" lol, so yes: more.

Hi Rhiannon - LOL on the whisper. I really did like that kitty - very friendly and very pretty.well we hall see that happens by he time the weekend comes around. Good luck wit your decision too - I can so understand where you are coming from.

Hi Devon - I am sure I will too. An I also agree on the shelters. hey had so many... and alot of older cats. Those are the ones I feel for. It is so hard to adopt out the older ones. There was one there whose owner had died. 13 year old girl. We will check on her too.

Hi Wendy - I did! It was a great birthday. I just may do that with Nicholas, and see how they react to him. maybe. I'm sure he'd love to go and see the kitties... :-D I so know on the longest at shelter. I feel for those, and may just go that route. There were two I also really liked but they needed to be placed in a single cat home.

Maui - you too? All my kitties have been shelter cats. I like your story on how you chose your bean. Mannie and Elsa did that too, especially Mannie. He wouldn't leave our laps, so we knew we had to take him home. I will try very hard to listen for those whispers when I go. I promise! and - I can do that! Lots of transporters! ~~ Auntie Michelle
Maui - ok, your bean gots it! I will make daily deliveries now, and come with extra, just in case. Oh! A dollop.... I dunno! Tat's what my bean called it when I served her hers. I just take a spoonful and drop it in. YUM! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh Barista

HI Angela - THX, and no worries. I did - it was very nice!

Hi Ann - oh LOL on taking Nicholas. and I know. He'd be as bad as me, cuz I know he'd like them all.  But I may just do that. It would be interesting to see what he thought and what they think of him. and any thanks.
Auntie Ann! COOL! I am so glad I helped you out. You think so? on my extra ingredient? I LOVES it! My bean thought I was nuts, but... she keeps asking for more! silly bean... See you tomorrow!~~ Elsa, KB

Hi Libby - Many thnaks - we both had a good one. Breffis was a really nice way to celebrate it together. I know on the shelters. ;-) I know I will not be able to get out of there with just one... Too funny on Jessica. THX too on the photos. It is so fun now that he is so mobile. I did have him out in it when he was just a baby. It was really fun to show him things there and watch him learn about the outdoors. and ye s- once I come home with that passle, there will be TONS of photos!

Hi Lisa - I so agree. it will not be easy to decide. I keep looking at their photos, but wow - they are all great kitties. It will be tough. and oh yes, I will let everyone know... a for sure! thx too on the birthday, and no worries. It really was a great time!

Happy belated birthday Michelle! Glad you've enjoyed a great day with your birthday boy too!
Yes, a house is not a home without our kitties. Take your time to decide on the lucky one!
