FINALLY! A GOOD number again! He's doing well but has lost weight again - now down to 14.5lbs from 16 altho' it's been slow happening. All P's in place and seems to be feeling well. He's finally quit giving Leo raspberries - letting him walk by and just stare. Yesterday I proclaimed SUCCESS with the integration! They met in the hall, did the stare thing for a few seconds then BOTH lowered their eyes and turned their heads away. Cat talk for "I'm now OK with this.."!!!!
NOW our announcement!!! I've been about to burst at the seams with this secret for weeks now but wanted to be sure everything was set before I said anything. WE'RE BEING ADOPTED!!!! 10 days from now, we'll meet a plane carrying our newest family member....
Meet 'DAKOTA'! He's a 10 year old Maine Coon mix, yes an extra sweet one! He's another BIG boy, 16 pounds of sweet, currently on Lantus also. He's been a foster of Fancy Cat's Rescue at home with Ronda Dalton for quite some time. He was actually here on fdmb for a short time in 2011 but was adopted. UNfortunately the new home didn't treat his diabetes, didn't keep him brushed, he was returned to her a sick matted ball. She's spend months getting him healthy again. He'll be arriving May 25th - we've already got everything ready for him! Here's pics of our newest sweetheart:

All fuzzy feetz are doing well - the TEMPORARY new pups are SO sweet, growing so beautifully now. It's amazing how quickly good food and care will turn around a potentially bad situation. Jill's legs are getting even longer...she's so quiet and calm, loves to curl up in a lap. Ginger has too much energy to sit still for more than 10 seconds!
One more funny to share today - Sassy and Sasha, inside little 3 year old droolers, have been raised around cats only. THEY think they're cats. When we introduced them to Jill and Ginger, they're TERRIFIED of those dogs! MAMA MAMA, they're DOGS! GET THEM AWAY! A new cat is an immediate friend, a DOG? For shame.....
Extra thoughts and prayers for Lisa losing Baloo - I am SO thankful that sweet baby knew a final year of LOVE even if he was always a bit cranky.
HUGS and YARD DANCES TODAY!!!!!!!!!!
