We saw a decent run of greens last night, and finally back to a blue preshot. Doesn't appear that we'll have greens this morning, although she has surprised me before by dipping back down.

Dad had xrays this morning at 530, which then had to be sent off to be read by a person who reads them. He won't see the surgeon until 2 (+8), so we won't know if he needs surgery until then. He did see the report by the radiologist - still a partial block, although smaller. And the contrast he had to drink yesterday made it to the large intestines (good), and the inflammation in his intestines has gone down some (also good). I was hoping we would know this morning - finding out this afternoon might mean leaving later today and then just finding a hotel along the way (it's a 12 hour drive to mom, then 4.5 hours to the hospital). So much up in the air. Although since it has shrunk more, they may be okay with seeing how it goes just with the naso tube.
Dad is bored though, and ready to go home. And I know mom is ready for him to be home.

Sending so much support and strength to you and your family, Alicia. Good vibes for all the best possible everything for your Dad. Please be careful driving. Keep us posted.

And of course, safe surfing to Kit cat!

Sounds like things are moving toward the positive side for your dad. Hope he continues to improve. Him being bored is a good sign also - he must be starting to feel better.
I sincerely hope that he won't need surgery. Any surgery is just so hard on a body. A few years ago, I had an appendectomy - even though there were only three tiny incisions, it really took a lot out of me.
Paws are crossed that you hear from them soon. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks, @Staci & Ivy, @Mikanmama, and @Angela & Cleo - things are looking better this afternoon! He got the nose tube removed (for which he is very happy), he can move to a liquid diet (for which he is very, very happy), and he had a small bowel movement. For which we are all happy. I don't know if they'll do another xray in the morning, but it seems to be moving right along (figuratively AND literally! :joyful: ). Also, one of my younger sister's friends, who lives in the town where my dad is in the hospital currently and is basically one of the family anyway, told mom that she could drive mom to Lincoln if dad needs surgery there, and then I can just meet them there. That would mean only an 8 hour or so drive, and would be so dang helpful.

So we'll see how he does. Since surgery isn't completely off the table, I held the dose tonight and will tomorrow morning. If surgery is off the table tomorrow, then I'll probably increase tomorrow night. We are talking about me possibly needing to come home in June when they watch my 5 year old nephew for a couple of weeks, but that's a month out. So we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Thanks again for all the support from everyone. It's been very much appreciated. ❤️❤️❤️

So, wasn't expecting that +4. That doesn't really leave me much wiggle room for a possible increase if surgery/travel doesn't have to happen, right? @Angela & Cleo @Wendy&Neko
I legit wasn't using it as a threat to see if she would show some better action - I figured last night's mention would have done that, and when she didn't really show good action this morning that we were probably good to go if I don't need to drive to Nebraska.
