Have not been here for a couple of days. Harley has been up-down-up-down. Has been in the 400's a couple of times but has decided today that greens are best. 29 +3.5. Started with HC gravy and will test in 15. I was going to my sisters today but will have to wait to see what Harley decides to do.

since it is so early in the cycle and Harley nadirs late, you might add a couple of drops of karo to that gravy. That way you won't have to give so much gravy and make him get too full. Just a thought. See you in 15 minutes.

I re-read your posts Libby & Roni. Just gave him a little karo to help him out. I did not know that the 29 was low enough to give Karo...I learn something new every time I am here. Now I won't wonder if I am doing something too much too quick.

you need the food to help him stay up, but when you potentially have a lot of hours of low numbers ahead of you, a little bit of karo can help bump him up enough to make that a little easier. The worst thing is if you keep feeding HC and he is still dropping, then he gets too full or vomits and you lose control of the numbers.

It has been an up and down day for Harley. the little porker has had lots of HC and karo and has loved every minute of it. He is gaining even more weight with every drop and HC food. Tonight gave him a bit less food to make up for the extra calories. Will test at +2 to see what is going on.
