Good morning and Happy Caturday to all!!!

Spot is doing great! He is waiting for his snack as I type, so I'll have to be quick in doing so!
Spot has been enjoying his time at the falls, even though his mum still insists on testing him two-three times a day. If you take a look at his ss, you will see that we very seldom see green numbers anymore. We get the odd one when we do a before bed test, but that's about it. I am beginning to come to the realization that Spot is just one of those higher number kitties...possibly because his pancreas may have been more damaged because he spent the first 7 months on that nasty Humulin N before I switched to Lev. I am also thinking that there may be a possibility that Spot's pancreas may never be healed completely and may need to be helped out with a bit of insulin on occasion. These are just some thoughts that go through my head when I see these blue numbers and see the other OTJ kitties always in the greens. But I always bring myself back to "Spot is more than the numbers" mind set, and know that is so very true! He is enjoying life as much as any kitty can enjoy life...all except for the fact that he can't go outside all the time, lol.

Well, I will visit some condo's later tonight if I get a chance...I am on my way outside to start the process of opening up my pool, then I have to go to work this afternoon. I also have to work from 7 am to 9:30 pm tomorrow, so not sure when I will be on if I'm not on tonight.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Caturday today and all kitties are good for their beans!!!

Nice Spot report....hope you have a good day...oh,you did say you were opening your pool  Just had a few flashbacks to those good ole days. There was always something that seemed to go wrong. LOL.
My two DDs were always at the edge of the pool ready to jump in.....no matter if it was freezing out and the water was emerald green...they were always so anxious for the season to begin! LOL Ah...the good ole days!
Hope your opening goes without a hitch....have fun Deb!! :thumbup

This is so true, Deb, and I love to hear that Spot is happy and doing well. Hope your busy weekend goes well. I'm available to come swimming once your pool is open.

The pool opening has started and now it's just the waiting game to see if everything is tight and there are no leaks. I believe there is a hole somewhere in the liner...the pool was here when I moved in four years ago, but after the first year I had to get a whole new pool. There were so many little stones around the pool that it was impossible to remove them all...My two nieces, mom, sister and myself spent almost a whole week and then some, trying to do so. It seems as if one has managed to pop up under the liner and I believe that is where the hole is. Going to have to empty pool at towards the end of the season and see what I can do about it, but I'm not bothering with it now. There is so much algae in the pool too, so there will be a lot of cleaning going on this week. Hopefully it will be nice and crystal clear by memorial day! Everyone is welcome to come over for a swim!!!

Happy Caturday, Deb & Spot!! As you know.. Spot may not be green.. but he is totally in normal range :thumbup
Wishing you both a wonderful weekend & abundant blessings for healthy BG #s too!!

Happy Caturday Deb and Spot!!! Good luck with the pool. Spot is doing great and his numbers are still normal even if they are not green, he just runs a little higher, that is ok!!! You are a wonderful mamabean to him. You poor thing having to work a long day on a Sunday!! Hope you have a nice weekend and don't work too hard!!!

Spot sounds like he is perfectly fine. If he ends up needing insulin every now and then, so be it, but if he's surfing along in the 100's that might just be his normal range. Watch for trends and deal with it then.

I wanna go swimming! My neighborhood's pool just opened, maybe I need to check it out tomorrow. It would be nice to have a private one.

Peek at Donny's SS - he seems to prefer "turquoise".
Not seeing a lot of lower greens with him. He just gave me three blue AMBGs in a row. I keep telling myself not to panic unless he stays blue and creeps upwards.

Thanks for dropping in our condo today, buys. I will definitely look at Donovan's ss, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. Just got home from work and am tired, but wanted to post Spot's evening numbers.

It was a little weird day today...I have to leave for work at 2:15 and mom had to leave to go to my brother's house for dinner at 5:15, so dinner for the furries was an hour earlier. Mom didn't get a pmbg test, so when she got home a 10ish she gave Spot his snack and then tested him at 11:15 pm and got a 170 ohmygod_smile  Didn't think to retest, but when she told me this at 12:10, I decided to do another test and got a 122...much much better!!! He is a trooper...really trying his best to keep it together! But if need be, he will get a drop of insulin in the next few days if things start going up.

Well, long day, time to get some sleep...not looking forward to my day tomorrow, but I did change my hours from 7 am to 9:30 am so I can get a little more sleep!! Nini all and take care...sorry no time for many condos today and don't know what tomorrow will bring, but I think of you and hope everyone is doing well!!

hmm.. if only there was a negative carb food out there, lol.
hey ya know one thing i did see was that you only did meter check once and was at lower number, maybe try a few more of those? i would hate to think you did a lot of worrying and it turns out you have a meter that starts running 20 points higher once it hits the 80's or something. (that mom test sure was suspicious re: meter being funky)
the only other thing i saw was that you said on SS "there is definitely 'something' going on though!"...was that written just cause of numbers or is your subconscious picking up something on behavior? and sometimes someone mentioning it can make it click in conscious mind that you are noticing something off somewhere and we can talk about it.

ps. careful about giving a few AB's you have around like that. AB's can't be given like that, not long enough to do anything and sets up AB resistance. and besides n one is apposta have a few AB's laying around! means didn't finish them out like was suppose to somewhere sometime. always finish out a course of AB's to last one vet (or human doc) said to give no matter how much better things seem, k?
