Buster Bu Electric Boogaloo! Looking great! Still licking his lil elbow  I wish that would go away. Anyone have experience with acupuncture for joint care? He has mild arthritis so I know I can't fix it, but maybe it could relieve some discomfort? We're currently using Adequan and glucosamine.

Happy Fursday!

Re: 5/15 Buster AMPS 113 - acupuncture for joints?

Hi Tara

Yes on the acupuncture for sure. I've been doing it with my civvie, Sidney. It doesn't cure the joint issue but can provide some relief. The vet who does the acupuncture is also a feline specialist which is kinda cool. We first did the acupuncture without and electrical stimulation...we've just added it in...Sidney really seems to benefit from it. She also adds Chinese herbs....I can only get them from her...not online.....one is call Body Sore that Sidney takes for arthritis. I never thought I would give my cat Chinese herbs...but, they seem to help.

Hope Buster can find some relief.

Thanks Tena! I think I will start poking around at options in this area to see what's what.

Mariko/Lucy has regular in home acupuncture done. I've thought about it for Neko but it's a bit of a trip and they do mostly dogs at the closest place. The other option I've heard people use is laser therapy for arthritis pain. Neko's on a low maintenance dose of bupe for her pain, but acros have a bit more going on than just the arthritis. And I think her arthritis is in the spine so I don't want lasers near her organs.

Nice flat cycle for Buster today. :-D

Darn kittens are still taking too much of my time.
