Yesterday's 18/18 cycle

Zener was wallowing in the lagoon yesterday morning after an all night PJ party, so after a stall, some research, and input from some experienced people in LL, we opted to shoot at 18 hours and again at 18 hours (18/18) so he would not go 24 hours without insulin. So, his morning shot was delayed by 6 hours and shot at +18 and then the evening shot was skipped and we got back on scheduled this morning, so 18 hours since the last shot.

He stayed in good numbers until last night and was high, as expected this morning, though we did anticipate much worse. Looks like he is already on the slide. Appy is so-so, and we gave a little Bupe, which we do now from time to time. All in all, the 18/18 seemed to be a good choice for our guy and for the beans.

Liz is out on a long run this morning, she is preparing for a crazy 11-mile-ish run later this summer up in our mountains, she will have to post later about it. bcatrun_gif

Hoping your Wednesday is calm and drama free.

Anne

:-D :-D :-D It looks like that 18/18 worked well, we're going to have to try that! If I can refrain from giving furshots! ohmygod_smile

Re: 5/14 Zener AMPS 429;+3 244;+5 148

I was really interested to hear how the 18/18 went, as it seems like it could be a good option for us on some occasions. I'm glad Zener is doing so well at this point. Keep sliding, Z-man, but keep it safe!

I agree that an 11-ish mile run in the mountains is crazy, but then I think it's crazy to run anytime unless someone or something scary is chasing you! I hope she enjoys her training run.

Have a great day, Anne!

Nice recovery Z-man! Looks like the 18/18 was a success at your place.

Back at it, i see!! I'm glad the 18/18 worked for him. It's good to see him liking his blues and greens and we hope his appy picks up.

Hope Liz enjoys her run. It must not be as windy there as it is here. It's crazy.

And, of course, we hope you are enjoying retirement, Anne!!

 Holy moly, it's a rainbow slide and one cycle after the 18/18. :o

We are going to shave a drop off tonight, well....depending on how the numbers look at the time.

Wow, what a slide for Zener today. It looks like he wants a reducie.

Goodness! I seem to remember he did this a time before. If it's the same season as last time, I wonder if he is like Gracie and has seasonal patterns?

Another epic slide from our guy. We're giving another reduction, fat 2.25 from f2.50. We'll see how it works.

Marje: I don't know if it's seasonal or not. Zener doesn't like patterns, he prefers to surprise us.
Wendy: Yep, deja vu all over again.

WOW Zener! That is an amazing slide! Does Zener give sliding lessons (perhaps staring out on the "bunny slide" versus the "daredevils/advanced sliders-only slide?") :-D
