Wrigley was 410 at his AMPS. He has started to really be difficult to poke his ears to get the blood. They are bleeding really easy now, but he is getting mad when we try to do it. He turns and bites when we have to hold him or when we put the cotton ball by his ear. He is making it a lot more difficult.

Maybe I could try some thinner lancets. What does everyone else use after their cats ear bleeds easy?

Thanks

Do you let Wrigley eat or drink something while you test his ears? I give Sheba a defrosted cube of chicken broth I make myself (no carbs or calories or salt, just chicken bones boiled in water for several hours) while I prick her ears. She comes willingly and positions herself for the test but always waits for her treat which she has while I test. I don't restrain her at all. Maybe that might help Wrigley to be distracted while you test.

nice job figuring out how to make him a willing participant! You have to do more bribing when you're starting out than you'll need to do later on when he's used to it..
