Sly's SS looks great- but what is up with that projectile vomiting? And why was Chris Farley vomiting, in sympathy? Is this happening before he eats or immediately after? Tons of healing vines for the little dude! :bighug::bighug:

I haven't heard back from the shelter manager about taking him in to the vet about the puking. I think it may be pancreatitis or he may still have some ill effects from that 2ft string he puked up when we first brought him home. Its after he eats, but not immediately - anywhere from 30min to an hour or two. Its really liquidy, not thick like its his food coming back up like it was back when he was constipated.
I really think that Chris's gag reflexes just kicked in when Sly puked next to him. One of the previous times Mittens and Opal did the same thing when they were nearby when Sly puked. Its that gross sounding and smelling. It makes my gag reflexes kick in and I make my husband deal with it.

Poor little guy- I would definitely keep bugging the shelter to let you take him into the vet! I had forgotten about that swallowed string too! So his appetite is still good though? If so, that doesn't sound like pancreatitis. Yeah, it's no fun watching somebody puking...:oops::oops::bighug::bighug:

Yes, he LUVS to eat. I constantly laugh at the idea that this guy refused to eat wet food for the shelter staff.

The way he pukes and acts is very much like Smokey did and she tested very strongly for pancreatitis, ultrasound showed it too. She rarely lost her appy and had no pain (3 different docs and specialists SWORE to me when I asked). I didn't even think about p-titis with Sly until the liquid puking at the same time as all those blue mornings showed up. All of his tests except for the BGs were normal in Feb.
My cell phone has been down for 2 days and she is better to respond to texting than emails. The shelter manager has never hesitated about me taking any fosters to the vet. I am just wondering if we try different foods first. We had switched him to a lower fat one just before starting the Cerenia, but his coat got icky looking so we switched him back to the Wellness.

That's so interesting Smokey ate with pancreatitis, ECID no doubt; inappetance and vomiting were Tiger's primary symptoms. You may have seen this before but I'll share it anyway regarding pancreatitis. I hope the Cerenia helps him; we are never without that and Ondansetron!

Yes, Smokey proved ECID with her pancreatitis. She was almost asymptomatic. The vomiting was really all we saw. We only found her p-titis because her lipase was off the charts on a routine senior panel. Did the ultrasound and fLPI and no doubt about it from those. We redid the fLPI numerous times as we monitored how her meds were doing and she improved, but never out of the range of p-titis. I discussed it with the numerous specialists she saw because she was so out of the norm and I was concerned if she did have it, we were not treating pain usually associated with it. They all had the same opinion that.
