Good Morning, Everyone,
Rusty is barely blue. I decided to add a drop to his dose to bring it to a regular 0.75 (instead of a skinny). If it is only the shed refilling, this may have been a mistake, but we'll see. I don't like seeing him in these higher numbers (higher for him, that is). Advice/opinion would be welcome!!
Rusty was hungry for breakfast, but has been napping in his basket since breakfast. He entertained briefly the thought of a game with Big Bug, but that was it. We all had a good night.
We are expecting days of rain. It hasn't started yet, however, so we may get out in the garden for a bit. Edward and I are going to the Metropolitan Opera HD live transmission of Wagner's Die Walküre this afternoon at the movie theater in Lake Placid. This is the opera that we had tickets for, but stayed home because of the cellar flood a month ago. It's good to get a chance to see it, even if not in the "House". (Our cellar is still flooded!).

Good morning .. sorry to see rusty is still sitting higher then normal .. I don't really have any advice/suggestions for you, but will be hoping rusty comes down soon .. Glad that you guys are going to get to see the show that you missed out on .. and I hope this rain coming doesn't do any more flooding in your cellar .. have a great day guys!

Morning guys! Good luck with the added drop to the dose. I think it is a good idea - maybe just what he needs to jump start things, and get him back to Rusty numbers. You'll know soon enough if the higher stuff was a shed issue. Good luck.

Well so sorry on the cellar.... I just keep hoping that things will dry out soon. More rains doesn't sound good. Hopefully they won't be monsoon rains, and things can still improve. paws crossed.

Enjoy the opera!! You're right - at least you can see it, even if it isn't "in house". have a great time.

have a wonderful time at the opera, ella! boo hiss on more rain and cellar woes - you must be tired of all of the wet!

enjoy your saturday - amazing what a drop can do - hopefully rusty will respond nicely to it.

You sure do need a break from the rain up there.. I hope the cellar dries out soon. Have wonderful time at the opera :razz:

Hi Everyone,
Wagner's "Die Walküre" was spectacular. Both Edward and I thought it was the best performance of this work that we have ever seen or heard (and we have seen and heard a lot: we own 14 different performances of it on CD or VHS/DVD, ranging from the late '30s to the present). The opera was delayed because of technical difficulties with the very complicated computerized sets, but it was well worth the wait.

Rusty, in the meantime, seems to have had a much better day of numbers. His PMPS is getting closer to what we expect from him. Rusty also enjoyed the opera, since it is Saturday and the Met radio broadcast was on for him to listen to. I left a +9 snack in his automat and it had been eaten when we returned (just minutes before PMPS). It was the first time Rusty has eaten a timed meal from the automat (he eats from it all the time without the lids popping up, because we use it as a double tray for his food dishes).

Off now to visit a few condos. I haven't been down to the cellar to bail since last night: it is a total mess, but I'm not going down there again until tomorrow!!

Glad you, Edward and of course, Rusty, enjoyed the opera. And yay for Rusty using the autofeeder. What a good boy. :mrgreen:

Sending the bucket brigade to help ya out with the bailing tomorow. I can't believe you are still dealing with this issue.... :sad:

Nice that Rusty is coming down to the Rusty numbers we are used to. Glad the opera was a success. Good for you on leaving the cellar alone tonight. It will still all be there tomorrow unless the 'brownies' come in an help. Sending better weather vines your way. Have a good evening.
