Hi everyone,

Rusty is fine and got through the night without going lower than the 40 at bedtime. I have to be out all day today: our friend Jean has decided to let go (she is in terrible condition) and several of us are going to Burlington to say farewell to her.

Rusty will post the menu for the Full Flower Moon party at Tess's tonight after I get home.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for Jean. We were expecting the worst when we visited (3 of us), but she looked and seemed much better than we had been led to expect. We think that since she made her decision, she is at peace with herself. Anyway, we had a good visit. Jean is waiting to be transferred to a nursing home, hopefully one close to her home so that her family and friends can visit more frequently. Burlington VT is 2.5 hours from here and getting there involves taking a ferry across Lake Champlain. Jean is one courageous, wonderful woman.

Rusty moped around most of the day, according to Edward. The weather is warm and humid and he is feeling it. They spent some time outdoors. Rusty's appetite was so-so. I hope he will perk up tonight, when it cools off.

Rusty is about to write the invitation to the Full Flower Moon Party. Look for it in a separate Loose Lips condo. It will be a grand party, I'm sure.

it's so hard to say farewell to our friends. my heart goes out to you, ella!

it's hot here too - sorta takes the starch out of everyone! hang in there, rusty!
