Thanks for the vines for Phoebe Squeak's infection in her nail beds.
After 2 weeks on Clavamox & paw soaks (I was often more soaked than her paws were) we went for a recheck where they switched her antibiotic to Veraflox, added an anti-inflammatory -- Tranilast -- and a spray for her paws called Vetericyn.
After 3 days of these new meds she started vomiting non-stop and couldn't keep any food down.
I took her to the ER where after many tests, they decided it was a reaction to the new antibiotic. They gave her an injection of Cerenia & sent me home with Cerenia pills. They also gave her fluids. She has not vomited since we got home. We have stopped the antibiotic but continued the other 2 meds and tomorrow will be her first day without the Cerenia pill so we'll see how she does.
To cheer her up when we got back from the ER, I showed her that she's a May kitty in the FDMB calendar!
