Happy Caturday :-D

Hope everyone had an uneventful Friday the 13th yesterday.

Squishy Merlin sends angel vines and hugs to all the LL cats and beans in need :YMHUG:

Nothing new as of late with the civies. Both are still bcatrun_gif together. Leroy made himself comfy in the bathroom sink the othr day  I hope he doesn't make a habit out of it.

OMG pat, that was amazing! i posted that one to facebook - what a great video! thanks for sharing it.

hahaha love the pic of leroy in the sink! he looks like he appreciates you having fixed this perfect sized little bed for him!

we're doing home stuff today - supposed to rain this afternoon and we had a load of bark rock dumped yesterday. so wheelbarrow loads of it seems to be in my future today. i am so happy looking out on our deck. last year when my dad passed away, my quilting group gave me a gift certificate to get something in his memory from a nursery. i got a fountain and had it on the front porch, but i was afraid to turn it on with the chickadees nesting almost right above it. so i moved it to the back deck and fussed around with the deck flower baskets to make it look nice. the birds must like the sound, because there are even more than usual out there. right now i'm looking at at least 15 birds at the feeders and bird bath, plus a couple of squirrels. it's very inviting. i just need my fuschias to hurry up and bloom so i can take down the hummingbird feeder.

Aww that picture of Leroy is just adorable!!!!

That video of the cat and the dolphins is just amazing. How do you guys find these things. Wow.

Julie the back deck and the fountain sounds so nice. That was very thoughtful of both you and your quilting group. Great memorial idea for your dad also.

((((((Linda and Emily))))))) Healing vines for you and Zoe also.

I've been away - crazy tired again and pulled a muscle in my leg so taking time off the gym also. DH had the day off yesterday so that was nice. Raining and yucky here today. Reading Hellen Keller - a free ebook on my kindle (was DH's but I stole it).

Thanks  Leroy's pretty small for a 9 month old. He fits in the sink just fine without any squishing ;-) (remember that one, oldtimers? )

The video of the cat and dolphins is so cute  Thanks for sharing!

Julie, your back deck sounds really neat  It must be nice to sit out there and listen to the fountain and watch the birds.

Picked up the cat tree today :RAHCAT It just fit into the back of my brother's Volvo wagon. We rolled it up to my place with a borrowed hand truck thing. Emma took to the tree right away while Leroy seemed afraid of it. I left them alone for a couple hours and Leroy seems to be ok with the tree now. I saw him jump onto a lower perch and make his way to the second highest perch. The modular playground has been pushed over for now. Pictures :thumbup And I just realized that both civies jump off the higher perches directly to the floor instead of climbing down perch by perch. They both land with a big thud @-) @-) I can only imagine what it must sound like to the person who lives downstairs nailbite_smile nailbite_smile I need to get a thick rug to go under the tree and cover maybe a 3 foot area around it.

I'm so behind ohmygod_smile

That cat post is impressive! I love it!!! I agree with the thick carpet. Your neighbors must want to strangle your cats LOL.

Squeem3: Neat cat tree. Amazing how a little kitty can sound like an elephant on the floor. Hope it does not cause you any problems till you get a rug.

Karrie: have you posted any pics or videos of the new furbabies? Haven't been around much so I don't know if I missed them or not.

Hey Guys,
I enjoyed all the pics today, especially the video of the cat and dolphins playing.
We spent the day at the Metropolitan Opera live in HD broadcast at the movie theater in Lake Placid. Wagner's "Die Walküre" was one of the best performances of this work that we have ever seen. Rusty enjoyed listening to it at home on the Met weekly radio broadcast.
Julie, your new fountain sounds like it has created a wonderful habitat for the wildlife.
Barbara, I read about your electrical storms somewhere on the board tonight and am relieved to hear that your horses are safe.
Linda, I hope that Miss Emily is doing better today. We are also sending a bouquet of healing vines to Zoe and to all kitties under the weather.
Everyone have a good rest of the weekend,

Ella & Rusty

that is one amazing cat tree thingy. i'm just wondering, though, do any people live in your house? it is pretty uber awesome!

it's amazing what's going on on this deck with the fountain there. i have seen at least 4 different kinds of hummingbirds today - or at least they look different from each other. maybe there's male/females of the same breeds. at any given point there have been from a couple to 20 birds on the deck and the place sounds like an aviary when you step outside. i'm loving it.

i was feeling a bit guilty for having bought 2 new fuschias - usually i overwinter mine but we had an arctic freeze in november that killed all of them. they are so expensive this year - anyway, one of my friends said that flowers around your house is the cheapest therapy ever. she's so right. the flowers, the fountain, the birds, it's like a bit of paradise. when i get my camera back from my daughter tomorrow i'll take pictures.

our son graduates from willamette university tomorrow - and can you believe it, a storm is forecast?!? of course, graduation is outside under a giant tent. i'm wearing my long johns! ;-)

Thanks :-D The pet store had more cat trees today, including a slightly smaller version of the one I special ordered :? Neither civie have discovered the tunnel yet. Emma does use it as a way to get up to the very top perch. Leroy has only gone as far as the second highest perch.

So far, no complaints from anyone about the civies' thumping around in general nailbite_smile Hopefully there still won't be any complaints now that the civies have a tree to jump off from, even when I do get a thick rug nailbite_smile I don't need a fancy rug, just something thick and relatively good quality enough to hold up to claws. I'll have to take a look at Target and Kohl's, maybe JC Penney too.

Nope. Just me, the civies, and Squishy Merlin in his special box  But I do live in a condo and am surrounded on all sides by other units :-|

I saw a turkey in front of my parents' house today :o This is a very urban area, too, though where my parents' live there's a bit of open green space perfect for typical wildlife like racoons and skunks. Turkeys have shown up in the area in the past couple of years.

Congatulations :RAHCAT When my brother graduated a couple years ago, it was pouring rain and cold and the ceremony was outside :? My own graduation started off cloudy and cool but it eventually turned sunny and warm.
