Been over a month since i posted... worked in my closet and then started spending time out in my gardens in the sun... but really been missing the friendship and camaraderie of this group

My goal with Lincoln has been balance... he is just such a relaxed and affectionate cat when he is in the blues and greens you can't help but see he feels good there... its been a good week... he bounced but i expect that now... and he is now back to working the juice... hopefully he starts surfing like he has been

Benson continues to just keep trucking along at 17 and is doing really well

Tommys kidneys continue to get worse... last blood works his bun and creatinine were both on the high end of normal... his phosporus was in the middle... but his SDMA went from 14 to 18... we started him on the supportive probiotics with vitamin b and other stuff... he just is so thin to me and that is my biggest worry... if anyone has ideas to fatten him up i would love to hear them...

Savvy took a nasty spill 3 weeks back and landed on the corner of the flat of canned cat food... she really hurt herself and wouldnt come out to eat or even use the litter box... the vet looked her over and felt it was just a soft tissue injury to her front left leg / shoulder and possibly spine area... bupe took the edge off the pain... still it took her 2 weeks to come out... i have been carrying her to the litter box and bringing her food to her... and was worried that it was time to say good bye... but she is back to herself... eating and coming to the kitchen for meals... out from under the couch and sleeping on her pillow... and once more wanting to sleep and cuddle with me...

trying something with her... read about how some people are finding a daily dose of Cetirizine can be very helpful in IBS and in eosinophilic granuloma complex ... since Savvy definitely seems to suffer from this including swelled lips, swollen paws, swollen chin, ulcers on lips... and there is a way its linked to IBS... so i talked it over with her vet and we started her on 2.5mg every 12 hours... and now after 2 weeks i am going to try to start weening her off the pred she has been taking... already i have seen a huge improvement in her lips and no swollen chin or paws... really hope this works because the last thing i want is 2 diabetic kitties because of pred....

including some of the flowers that are blooming in my yard right now... hope a little bit of sunshine finds each of you

sorry this is so long and rambly... it will be shorter with daily posting again i promise.. prayers for Theo and all those in need tonight and tomorrow :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:[/URL]

Thanks for thinking of us Amber. :bighug: Good to hear from you and get an update on Lincoln and the rest of the fur gang. The flowers are beautiful.

Beautiful flowers. I'm glad Lincoln is doing well and Savvy recovered from her fall. How scary. I hope the Cetirizine helps and the supportive treatment for Tommy helps. Thanks for the well wishes for Furball. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Amber - so nice to hear an update
Murphy responds well to zyrtec - he's on it daily ( 5mg) from April until November
At times, its effects seems to wane, so I stop it for a week or two then resume
hope to hear continued good news from you and your furry crew

Hi Amber! I'm so happy to see a post from
you this morning!
I still check Lincoln's spreadsheet everyday!
Sending hugs and healing vines to you and your furbabies :bighug:
