Not a pretty picture. I think I over-did the Miralax. I hope that is what led to the vomit yesterday evening. The diarrhea has been ongoing since last night. Not a pretty picture. She's confined to the bathroom now. I tried to keep her in the bedroom, but she shat on me and my book last night.

Then I woke to little droplets of **** all over the rug and my bed coverlet. That meant the bathroom, or death by Clorox. After tidying her confinement, I washed her (yetch) tail and butt. Had to repeat this several times today.

I haven't fed her a lot, and what I have fed her has a lot of pumpkin in it. Right now she's beginning to look better after her slight dinner. Her BG is a bit high, probably reflecting the upset about being confined to the bathroom, and the diarrhea. I hope this gets better soon.

Meanwhile, I don't know what to do about theMiralax. She gets impacted so easily. But clearly she does not need it right now.

Yes. And is only 1 carb a tsp. I started with 1/8 of a tsp 2x a day. Is the food that has pumpkin in it new?

Have you spoken to your wonderful vet? She might have an idea about when you should restart the Miralax, or switch to the Benefiber. Are you checking her for dehydration? I worry whenever there is diarrhea ongoing.

Sending good poo vines.

This is so sad. My wonderful vet has gone back to S. Carolina, her family home. Left is the average to eh vet who is a pretty good businessman, but not much on keeping up with the world of veterinary progress. I'll keep him for routine stuff, but I need a new vet. :(

She's not dehydrated, and the diarhea seems to be clearing up. As to consulting with the vet who owns the practice, well...dunno .
