Yesterday

Another sunny start for Trix, but at least she has moved to the grotto this time around. I'm going to revisit the fuds list to see if there are any other options, but I might not have a chance to actually go fuds shopping this weekend. We are burning through our newest pen like crazy with this current dose, and at this rate, we'll likely still need another increase. I really want the Paw Lickin' to work for her, but I just don't know...I think I need to try another food, to see if that corrects these numbers and this crazy dose we're working on.

Good luck with the (seemingly-endless) fuds search. I hope you find something that helps out her numbers. You could seriously write a book about all her food trials and experiments! (Or at least a very elaborate chart, complete with arrows, bubbles, and lots of :-x s)

Good luck with the fuds search, and the pens and the dosing. The fuds thing is such an "ordeal". I remember spending so much time trying to find foods for Mannie that he'd eat and like and would eat more than one feeding. He liked the Paw Lickin' Chicken too, and we had that in the rotation for a while. Wishing you much luck.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to do about the fuds. We've tried probably all the low phos/LC fuds on the list that I can find locally...we've elimated what she doesn't like (such as EVO). I'm hoping maybe I'll see something I've missed when I go back to look at the list again.

She LUVS Paw Lickin', but from what I'm seeing, it just doesn't agree with her numbers. I could handle giving her a bit more insulin, but so far we've gone from F2.5 (where she was for a LOOOOOONG time) to our current F4.5, and we're really not making all that much progress as far as getting her back into better numbers go.

Today, I didn't give her any Paw Lickin'; instead, it was a mix of Friskies T&G and BFF Chuckles. SHe likes these fuds, too, but I do notice that they seem to make her drink more. And, I would like more variety for her.

Back to work for the bean!

Hi Amy, the +4 is looking really good on Trixie. Good luck on the fuds search. That's too bad about the Paw Lickins, but if you keep noticing she had to go up in dose, it must be messing with her numbers. Certain low carbs mess with Mags also. Trixie, keep surfing those nice blues.

Back to the yellows....I can almost deal with yellow pre-shots (for now), as long as she reserves it for PS only...

However, she jumped a little for her shot, so she got shorted a drop, plus there was a drop of blood on the end of the syringe nailbite_smile ...I have had that happen before and it's never been an issue, but it still unnerving....

If there is blood, does that mean you hit a vein or a muscle? Glad to see the 139--she may have gone green--who knows!

I probably nicked a capillary. I would have been shocked if she went green...she very, very rarely moves lower after +4. In fact, without looking at her SS, I can't think of a time that she HAS gone lower after +4...she usually gets her action in early in the cycle.
