Morning.
got up early today to get a "truer" bg test...at what would be her shot time.

So yay for a good number....
we'll see if she can produce a green four hours from now....
I'm psyching myself up to resume insulin. I feel like we are good for a day or two and then off for the next three....
Since she's been grazing more thru her foods, it's harder to get that 4 hour window after eating....
yesterday



I'm good with it being monday.... since it makes wednesday a lot closer....
wednesday is the day I get the splints out....
and I don't know what happens after that....
I guess I'm delusional thinking it's all over from there..... I'm sure there will be more instructions and things to not do....
I'd just like to wake up without headaches, etc... but I can't tell if that's the surgery pains or the pain meds....

I tend to have a fairly high threshold for pain and I'm sure not willing to go without yet. (and I keep trying)

That's a good ambg, Shadow. Stay in normal range, now, so that you don't have to go back on the juice. You can do it!

oh that pic looks so much like Shadow....



today has been awful for me....
nose is swelling a tad so I'm laying here with ice packs.... which I think are helping...
and Shadow is just being flat....



i'll see where she is in 4 hours...

I'm sending tons of healing vines, for your poor nose, and pray you wake without headache tomorrow.

Come on down, Shadow, mama wants to see green again...even tho we know that blue is a nice healthy range. :-D

hi rhiannon!

maybe you're having a hard time because you just had surgery and your cat is having blood sugar issues . . . don't be hard on yourself! sometimes life is just plain difficult. :YMHUG:

remind yourself that under 120 is normal for shadow. most of the numbers are in that range - they don't have to be green numbers to be ok.

hope you're feeling better soon.

Awww, Rhiannon...Shasta and I are sending lots of healing vines, no swelling vines, ((hugs)) and hisses! (the last part is from Shasta...her specialty!) I hope you get some good news on Wednesday and I hope you get relief asap. Headaches SUCK. And I know you don't LOVE Shadow's numbers, but Shasta and I are very jealous of her numbers. Maybe you should explain to her that you appreciate her staying around 100 so that you don't worry while you're trying to recoup, but you'd be much happier if she'd stay under 100, but above 60. What am I talking about...of course you've already explained all that...she's just being a cat. Feel better, friend!

I was wondering why that +7 number appeared. Very nice to see those greens at night. Maybe she is just a greener night, low blue day kind of cat.

Take care of you, another day closer to splint relief.
