OMG...This just brought me to tears of amazement and gratitude-
and I just had to share it with you.

Y'all know about my sister Tamara in the nursing home.
What I haven't really mentioned is that her son lives here in town, but essentially ignores her.

His ex-best friend Paul lives across the street from us- and lost his mother to cancer last year.
Yesterday he contacted my nephew to remind him about Mother's Day...
and when he was told that the nephew "just didn't have time to worry about Mother's Day"...
Paul went out and bought a hanging flower basket, put a card in it that was supposedly from my nephew,
and dropped it off to be given to Tamara this morning.

And if that wasn't a lovely enough gesture...he called the nursing home this morning-
and faked my nephew's voice- telling my sis that he was at work, but wanted her to know just how precious she was to him!!!

HOW FREAKIN' SWEET IS THIS GUY???

WE LOVE YOU, PAUL- YOU ARE ONE WONDERFUL YOUNG MAN!!!

This is a wonderful story, Celi. Your nephew might learn a few things from his friend, Paul, if he could open up his mind a bit.

Wish Tamara and all the other mothers in the nursing home a Happy Mothers' Day from Rusty and me!

Ella

What a beautiful story and what a beautiful young man Paul is. That is a great Mother's Day gift to Tamara. Have a wonderful day.

What a sweet young man! You know what they say " You can't choose your family ……" but if you could he would be a keeper.

Auntie Celibean, Happy Mamabean Day!

awwww that is so sweet. Paul is a good person and he will be rewarded 100 times over some time is his life here or beyond. There aren't enough people like him around, wish we could clone someone as sweet as he is. Sad your nephew will never "get it".

Happy Mothers Day Celi!

Paul's mother raised him right. I'm sure he has let her know his great appreciation for her love, too. And I bet it made Tam's year. What a thoughtful young man.

Celi,
That is the most uplifting, positive story I have heard in a long time. Paul is an amazing guy and too bad you can't adopt him into your family since he has lost his mom. I really hope your nephew one day will "get it" and come back into Tam's life. So sad, but unfortunately, you hear about this kind of situation way too often. Big, big hugs to Paul.

Celi,
THANK YOU for sharing this with us. I agree with everyone, Paul's a very special person. I'm sure it filled his heart while he was doing it....his mother was sitting on his shoulder bustin' buttons the whole time too. Your nephew is missing so much of what life truly means...

BIG HUG to ALL of you!

yeah, he's a good guy.

i just helped with an oil change on his car for him as a thank you :-D :-D :-D

Tam's pretty stoked...
between my mom, brother, me & Paul-
she thinks she got 4 mother's day gifts AND and call from her son-
and while he doesn't realize it- he means the world to her...

All's well that ends well :-D

3 cheers for Paul! :RAHCAT :RAHCAT :RAHCAT

What a thoughtful man indeed. He made many mamas proud today:)

Wow, his kindness toward Tamara really takes your breath away! What a terrific young man.

Can he come to TN and marry my daughter?
