Miss Emily could use healing thoughts and prayers. She was in very scary shape yesterday morning, and spent the day at the vet. She is dealing with pancreatitis, fluid in her chest, and anemia due to GI bleeding. I am waiting for lab results on the fluid that was removed yesterday from her chest, and for an opinion from the IM vet regarding the GI bleed. I'm not sure that there is much I can do for her except to try to keep her comfortable.

Teddy is doing a good job of cuddling with her in her bed and keeping her warm.

Here she is last evening, glad to be home from the vet (with her IV catheter and leg bandage still in place):

 
I am so sorry to hear what dear Miss Emily is going through and I am praying for encouraging news from the vet. Her picture is so adorable and she doesn't seem to be fazed by the bandange. What a gorgeous girl. I will be sending lots of healing vines and hugs to you today.
 
Awww .. I'm sorry to hear this .. I'm going to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers that the vet's can figure out the best way to take care of Miss Emily and get her on the road to recovery!

Linda, I'm so sorry to hear that Miss Emily isn't doing well and hope that the vet can help her get better. Ted is certainly doing his part. Thanks for the pic. She looks bright and alert. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Oh what a beautiful cow kitty Emily is. Praying for her comfort and recovery.

Also praying for Steve and Rorschach... diagnosed with an ear tumor like Butthead's. Hopefully he will respond well to whichever treatment he decides to pursue.

She is a lovely kitty. I am so sorry to hear that, it's not a good way to start your weekend.

Awwwww what a sweetie she is Linda. I'm glad that she has you and Teddy to comfort her while she doesn't feel good. Sending healing vines to Miss Emily. I know you will make her as comfortable as possible.

Lisa, those wildflower pictures are beautiful. Love the trillium and the pink lady slippers especially. What are the yellow flowers? Are some of those pics of Jack in the Pulpits? (I'm not too up on my wildflowers!!)

The yellow flowers are yellow lady slippers well the ones that look like a orchid not I love pulpits but only take pics of them if they are really big I am a big orchid fan and trillium as well

I guess this is the place to post this...

I hate to be a wimpy quitter...but Binks and I are both feeling puny,
so I'm going to take the pain pills and take my little boy off to sleep...

sorry...I only got to a couple of condos...but the boy and I are going to crash.

Sweet dreams and healthy sleep, all...and we'll be back to visit tomorrow!
 
lisa, loved the pics! those are just beautiful wildflowers. we have trillium around here - had them in the yard of the house i grew up in, down by the creek. just beautiful. thanks for sharing them.

celi, hope you feel better in the morning. the binkster too!

just got back from watching my former youth group girl play the lead role of Anne Sullivan in The Miracle Worker. She did an outstanding job . . . so much fun to watch her. the little girl who played Helen Keller was stunningly good too - probably 9 years old.
