Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (lots. Elsa got a little carried away...), and Happy Monday!
Kudos to Elsa, our barista in training! I just may have to take off those training wheels.... Not only did I have a piping hot cup of 10 hour energy this morning, I had a humongous venti orange vanilla fudge mocha, topped with a tower of chocolate whip cream smothering a dollop of fudge ice cream. So..... What'dya think? Is she ready? I think she's graduated! now if we could just do something about the mess in the kitchen. I wanna know who wrote kitties names in fudge on the counter top...

I hope everyone had a great mothers Day. We had a very nice time - breffis of Eggs Benedict, A wonderful fruit platter, crispy hash browns, and.... german chocolate cake for the birthdays. What fun! Nicholas was such a good kid. He did so well with all the people, took his nap, like three hours worth, before heading off to the other grandparents for yet another mother's day celebration. He even shared a few one on one moments with Elsa. That was so cool to see: a new friendship is forming. Elsa is very much a loner kitty, but not yesterday. She let Nicholas play with her, pet her, and even cuddle a little. Kinda cool. As always I took way too many photos, but so it goes. Here's the Picassa link to the photos. Mom's day, Anthony's Birthday, and Nicholas and Elsa

Well, we didn't make it to the shelter yesterday, we just did not have time. Festivities did not wind down here til 4 or so, and the Shelter closes at 5. so.... we will go as soon as we can. The door has been open, now we just need to find the right time, etc. I'm a little disappointed that we couldn't get there but it's OK. hey - maybe today/tomorrow! :-D :-D :-D It will be soon. I've looked at alot of their photos online, there sure are alot of very cute kitties there. I think we will try for an older cat(s !!!), as I believe it will be easier on Elsa. Anyways - shelter visit soon, real soon! :-D

Have a great day everyone! no clue here what will be today. maybe a hike if I can find a dry spot. Seems our wonderful sunny weather has left us. We are back to the wet and the rains for us!.

And kitties.... remember! Think BLUE, think GREEN!

Hi, Michelle, what a nice celebratory weekend you had!
I think Elsa is more than ready to have her title upgraded, although I rather like the Lil Bit nickname  :-D .
I can't wait to hear about your official meetings with the potential kitties ~ I hope you find one (or more!) that's just right, a good co-kitteh for Elsa.

(PS: your menu sounds very similar to our mother's day brunch at my folks' house: eggs benedict (my dad made english muffins from scratch!), fresh fruit, potatoes, and choc. mousse cake... oh, and mimosas. mmmmmmmm)

Enjoy your day!

Good Morning, Michelle,

That was quite a party you had yesterday. What a sumptuous spread your son prepared for breakfast! Who made the beautiful cake? Happy Birthday to Anthony! Nicholas had a ball, to judge from the photos. And Elsa was being very gracious!

Elsa, the 10-hour espresso was terrific today. I think you have mastered the barista's art and that it's time to get your diploma as "Kitteh Barista". Congratulations! Now you have to work on your mamabean to get you some help with the clean-up.

Have a fine day, Michelle. I hope the weather will permit a walk or a hike. We have snow here! Good luck with your trip to the shelter. Stu was 4 years old when we adopted him. They really like to place the "older" cats, because most people want kittens and the older cats just sit around and wait--and wait-- for that special someone. At the ASPCA in NY City the adoption fee for kittens is higher to encourage people to consider adopting an older cat.

Catch up with you later,

Ella & Rusty

Morning everyone!

Hi Josie ~O) ~O) ~O) ahhhhh! YES! your menu too - that sounds so good, and so similar to ours. Good stuff huh! I like the mimosas! I Know on Elsa, I kinda like the title she got: lil Bit. Somehow that fits, maybe she should keep it. :-D THX too on the new potential kitties. I think it would be good for all of us. I so hope Elsa agrees. I think she will.

Hi Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on all - the fuds were great. Anthony does such a good job with that menu. I can't take credit for the cake - it was from a local bakery. and really very good. I do love german chocolate! Nicholas had a good time, he usually does. He was so into all there which was nice to see: sometimes he can be a bit shy around people he does not see all the time. Elsa was such a good girl to let him pet her. That was a milestone! Yes on the older cats - i know most want a kitten, but for us (as I know those older cats wait such along time to be adopted), and for Elsa, an older cat would be just fine. 'm even considering a 8/9 year old. it may be better for her. The shelter has several in the 2/3/4 yr old range too, so we may go with that age too. I'm looking forward to stopping in today and see who's there. :-D :-D
Auntie Ella! YAY!!! I GRADUATED!!! I am so happy, I can call myself a kitteh barista!! Mannie would be so proud... SWEET! I knows on the clean-up help! Maybe I can be a bit neater... :-D Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista

Hi guys, so great to hear elsa and nicholas are forming a new bond! And I'm so happy to hear you are ready to bring in another kitty and love them .. it's sad so many of the "older" cat's get passed over .. I know any kitty will be a lucky kitty to come into your home!

Sorry, but she will always be Lil Bit to me and Maui! :-D

If you are getting companion(s) for Elsa, then finding ones near the same age WITH the same energy level is what you seek.

If you are looking to bring home younger kitteh(s), then definitely get two that are similar age and energy level. This way they can play with each other and leave Elsa in peace. Maybe even finding a bonded pair would be good too.

Whomever you find, will be very fortunate. Just remember, you can't bring EVERYONE home that you see! You have to limit yourself.

Thank you, Elsa, ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) for some reason that 10 hour energy coffee was really needed today! You have indeed graduated, Elsa, KB! You need your own signature foam!

How cool that Elsa is becoming more social w/ Nicholas! I bet Mannie is whispering in her ear that "the dude is kewl!"

Happy kitteh search today!

It certainly is Monday...thank you for the 10 hour energy, Elsa :-D !

It sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's Day, Michelle. The pics of Nicholas and Elsa are adorable. I'm sure you'll get to the shelter when the time is just right!

Hi Michelle, that sure looks like all of you had a great time yesterday celebrating Mother's Day and birthdays.
Yun on the Eggs Benedict and fruit platter and chocolate cake.
I think Elsa can throw away her training wheels, as she is getting to be a great Barista or already is one. ~O) ~O) Elsa, loved hat 10 Hour Energy coffee, and I love the ice cream coffee drinks also.
That is so sweet to see Nicholas cuddling with Elsa, and she looks like she is enjoying it. Now she will start looking for it and a bond formed between them.
Great pics of Mother's Day and the cake and DGS. So sorry you didn't make it to the Shelter but another day. Sounds like yesterday was packed full.
Have a great day. It's 90's over here if you want to take an ocean walk with me. I don't want to leave my a/c apartment though!

I'm glad you had a good day yesterday with your family. It looks like everyone was having a good time from the pictures. That's cool Elsa let Nicholas pet her for a little while. I hope you got to get a hike in today.

Elsa, all of your LL aunties are so proud of you and so grateful for your rapid mastery of the caffeine beverages. Let me know when you are ready to move on to tea! And we are also very happy to see you making friends with Nicholas. He must miss Mannie so, as I am sure you do as well. Keep cuddling up with your MamaBean, it helps so much!

Hi everybody! I have just returned from a spur of the moment road trip to look at some river parks for Nicholas and I. I visited five, and of those five, two may do, with one being the park of choice, as it has river access and trails and trains and all that a growing boy could want. So... successful venture! I also drove further on east towards Stevens Pass to visit a falls that is just shy of the town of Skykomish. WOW! Those Falls, Eagle Falls, were gorgeous! and ever so fast and furious and high and cold. I will post eh Picassa links to the photos and videos in tomorrow's LooseLips. What fun day today! and.... no letterer visit today - come to find out they are closed on Mondays. well... maybe tomorrow!

HI Devon - I thin so too, and I so hope that it continues. I think so on bringing in a new cat to the house, or maybe two. I think an older one would be good. makes me sad too that they are often passed over. and thx!

Hi Hillary - :-D :-D on Lil Bit. Yes, agreed on the new cat comments. Elsa is really very much a senior, so if we get one, it will be an older one. If younger then there will be two. Elsa does need her peace! ;-) ok.... I promise that I won't bring them all home!

Hi Ann (Tess) COOL! Elsa gas her own foam! She is mega excited now! Graduation, and her own foam. life could not be better! THX on the kitteh search - what a bummer to get there and find they were closed on Mondays. carp! well, maybe tomorrow then. :-D :-D I thinks so too on Elsa, it was so nice to see her be a social kitty yesterday. Very well could be on Mannie, a few whispers in her ear....

Hi Carla - THX, we did have a great time. It's always so nice when all of us can get together at the same time, same place. YAY! I think so too on Elsa. And yes - an exploratory hike, but ti was fun!

Auntie Anne - THANKS YOU! I tried so hard.... I thinks Mannie was watching over me, ya know? Ok, teas are next! I gots to do them for Auntie Hillary too. She likes them tea things... COOL! I will try with Nicholas - he's a little wild man, but I likes him. Mannie asked me to help my bean and Nicholas when he was gone, so I gots to do that, It is important to me. I know on Nicholas.... I think he does too! OK! Cuddles it is! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, Kitteh barista

aw, michelle! you're going for a new little furball!!! that's fantastic - i can't wait to see pictures. there are so many that need homes . . . but Hillary says you can't bring them all home. i don't know about that - you're pretty well the master at juggling everything, as far as i can see!

Hi Julie! thx for the visit. Yupp, that we are... if we can ever get there when they are open! Sheshhh,. But it will be good I think. LOL, and I know! I can't bring them all home. There is reason I don't work there, as I'd adopt the all! seriously.... I would. ANd thx, you are too kind.
