5/12 Recap:
AMPS: 98
+2: 198
+5: 238
PMPS: 80
+1: 83
+3: 126
+5: 130
+9: 193

Happy Tuesday. Still sending many condolences and prayers to Rich and Michael and healing vines to all who need them. Cheering Dimitri on in his OTJ trial.

This morning when i got up to test LBG at +9, she was curled all up against me tight and cuddly. I took her to the nighttime test spot when Mike is home and then brought her back to bed to settle her right back in her little nest and .....Tobey was there! He would not budge. So I set her down next to him and tried to wedge myself back under the covers while petting her but she would have none of it and shot off the bed like a little rabbit. Followed by Tobey since he thought she wanted to play   So I went from one snuggly kitty to, briefly, two, to none!!! Stinkers. Speaking of stinkers, Tobey, at four years old, just discovered he could jump up onto the counter where the stovetop is. He and Gracie get up on the counter where the sink is all the time but they hop onto the bar chairs and then onto the bar. Neither has ever tried to jump up on the other counter. I figured they both could but was still surprised that after all this time, Tobey finally decided to give it a whirl. So yesterday, it was three times up, three times he was put back down. Today....he hasn't been up there. Paws crossed.

I figure Mike and I know Gracie about as well as one can know Gracie and so yesterday when she decided to go up at +5, we looked at her SS and saw she has not come back down into green by PMPS in forever. So, because she had so many tests the day before, we decided to give her a break and not get a +10. So, of course, she decides to give us a green PMPS and I'm thinking based on today's little bounce, she must have cleared her bounce yesterday day uber fast. So today....she gets more tests. Can't give Lil Stinka a break.

Have a great afternoon. I've got to run a few errands so see you round tonight.

Just when we think we have them figured out, they change things. I've had Furball do that to me too. I hope Gracie keeps sliding down.

Yeah, there is no point in trying to guess and/or predict 'em. Good luck with Tobey and the counter...but I gotta say, been there, done that, battle lost  ! Kitties are the most persistent creatures ever created and after taking mine down over a thousand times over the course of an evening, I conceded....

Have a great evening, guys!

PS...I did take Trix's famotidine down to 2.5mg BID. Hopefully that'll work for her, now that she's over the worst of the p-titis....we shall see!

Hi Marje! Thats so funny about the counters, and I also have a 4 year old who has just started to jump on the range counter as well! Up she goes..down she comes..and my 2 old girls dont jump up there at all, never did. They also will use the cat tree>>>>bar stool>>>>counter. I just hope my yougun dont burn his paws on the burner..yes, I have the coils! Next one will be flat ceramic top. Hope to see Gracie slide down some for you!

Hi Marje,
Thanks for your answer in Rusty's condo today about pre filling Lev. syringes. Did you see that Jill has added many good thoughts to the conversation?

Too much about Gracie, Tobey, the "best spot" on the bed! And that is something about Tobey jumping so high. When Stu was younger he was a terrific jumper and once jumped 5 feet up to a narrow cellar window ledge, pushed out the screen, and enjoyed a walk outdoors (the commotion of birds gave him away!).

Good luck with figuring out what Gracie will do next with her numbers!

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Why is it the boy cats always want to sleep where the girl cats have just been sleeping?  I see Gracie is doing a great U-turn again today. A few times on Lev, Soul Sista has gone from a pink +5 to a green PS, just to keep me on my toes.

Re: 5/13 Gracie PMPS 80

if you can get Tobey go give up that counter, i want you to come and have a talk with McGee and Frodo. they are such naughty kittens! i have taken all the boxes off the counters (couldn't stand it any longer) and am just washing counters every time i want to fix food! *sigh* talk about little stinkers@!

miss gracie just likes to keep you paying attention and on your toes. it's true love. :-D

Or maybe there just wasn't anything up there that caught his attention! ;-) Harvey is my only counter jumper in the kitchen. Minka and Sasha get on the bathroom counters, which is allowed, and once in a while I'll find Minka pretending she's a centerpiece on the dining room table (Me: MINKA!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Minka: Huh? What's wrong with you, Mama? I's just restin'.) I have an induction cooktop, so Harvey can't turn it on by walking on the controls, and the burner areas cool down really fast after use. I see his little footprints on it in the mornings and know he's been up there, but I rarely catch him in the act. I do hear him jump down as I come down the stairs, though, and he'll be standing in the kitchen looking innocent.

So Gracie thinks the weather is right for a moonlight dip, eh? Stay out of the deep end, LBG!

We gave up long ago on the counters and table issues but they've just never jumped up on that side. Weird!

Little Minka...what a crack up.

I'm waiting for Calys next baby but fading fast......

I can't stop watching it. So sad she lost the first one. I tuned in after that - thank goodness. It's so funny how #2 is trying to nurse, but Cally keeps licking her so she can't latch on! I hope all the rest of the babies arrive healthy.

Tobey finally decided to give it a whirl. So yesterday, it was three times up, three times he was put back down. Today....he hasn't been up there. Paws crossed.

Double sided sticky tape has never failed in my house.
