I am really starting to wonder if it isn't Attie's food that is causing the regulation problems. Last week I ran out of his raw rabbit and had to fall back on a combination of raw chicken and FF. And the subsequent bowel issues...Now the be patient with me as I talk myself through this...

Up until last fall, just before Attie had a bad upper respiratory flair up, he was getting Nature's Variety Raw Rabbit. He was down to 0.5u to 1.0u and we were under 300 most days. We stopped using NV raw rabbit because it became unavailable until Jan. and then Jan....wore on until April. I still do not know if they have it back in production.

We have been feeding Primal raw rabbit instead, which claims a 1% carbohydrates. Although I do see a lot of carby veggies in the mix. So I checked through their website and they say all their raw is only 1%. Hmmm....really?

His rabbit is special order, so it came in and we started feeding it again on Friday... He is still fed 1.0oz nuggets at pre-shot, +2, +3 and a snack at +9. Yesterday he was fussy about that +9 and I was an hour late, so he got his nugget an hour early...note the food spike for a 1% carb. food!

I am thinking the Primal food quality is an issue. I guess it is time to contact Nature's Variety and see if the raw rabbit is back in stock.

Atlas has been quite the frisky cat today. Lots of playing and just being a crazy brat. He has always been frisky when he gets into the low yellows ...so when he is up and overly playful I start to watch his bg closely. Plus I have to make sure there is something in his food bowl or there is a kibble raid being planned.

It may take him all afternoon looking, measuring, testing his strength and dexterity.... if one could put him at a Wily Coyote drafting table with a bullseye on the kibble shelf... ;-)
