Simon seems a little more alert this morning and ate all of his foods. Maybe the B12 shot is helping a little. Legs are still very weak. I am trying to decide whether to go ahead and give him a 3 day trial of Onsior to see if that will help with his arthritic pain. I am just so scared to try something new since he is very sensitive to things, especially with his IBD issues. He kept me up a little last night with some crying but I think he just wanted me to pick him up and put him on the bed to snuggle. He was having a little trouble going up the kitty stairs.

I don't have any onsior experience, but wanted to send some prayers to sweet little Simon. Is he still doing Adequan for his arthritis? Hopefully the B12 will help him, too. Have a great day, Georgia!

I have no experience with that either, but also want to send vines ad prayers for Simon. We did B12 for Mannie too, it did help some.

You are in a tough situation trying to juggle all the issues of a senior cat. How are his kidneys, specifically his creatinine? I think Bron's Sheba has some degree of kidney disease and I see he wrote that it has helped her. Tough decision weighing QOL vs possible side effects. Vines to you!:bighug:
 
Simon has had a pretty good day and eating most of his food in one sitting. Still have to coax him to finish it all by holding the dish and petting him.
Amy, yes he is still getting the Adequan shots but not sure how much it is helping. It used to help him more.
Elise, Simon definitely has some kidney issues going on but his creatinine levels have remained about the same for the last year. No progression too much at this point. He gets fluids 2x. I have not talked with Bron and will ask him about Sheba.

Wendy give Neko accupressure and Neko actually sighs ... and her numbers go down.... you might ask about that.
