Yes, like Karen said many acro kitties have snoring/whistling sounds along with teary eye ducts, sometimes only one eye. I can hear Bronx making snoring sounds from another room at times, even when he is wide awake. He was making whistling noises for years and I just associated it with smaller nasal passageways, but became worse into snoring sounds about the same time he was dx with FD which led to the dx of acro.

Last couple of days there have been a few times where we can hear a whistle thru her nose. Not loud just faint. And when she lays down there is a huff or a huge sigh. (I feel the same way) any insight? Do I need to call vet?
It's called stridor. Quite common in acros, caused by thickening of the tissue in the pharyx (throat). Neko had a really quiet one her last year, just a faint airy sound heard on inhallation. The excess IGF-1 causes excess soft tissue growth and that can be almost anywhere. Neko also had one blocked tear duct and had some soft tissue grown on her gums. Some kitties get larger tongues.

One thing to be wary of if there is significant soft tissue growth in the throat is that means a narrower passageway. If kitty needs anesthesia, a smaller intubation may be needed. And be careful with pilling/capsules. Choose smaller options and make sure it gets flushed with water.

Ty We are using the #4 caps and flushing just because she likes to hold them. So guess we are doing good. So far. Will continue to monitor her. It's not all the time. Just every once in awhile. We live in the allergy capital of the world. Ans our days have been 80 monday 68 tues 80 wed 85 thurs 54 crazy! I think mother nature is off her pills. Thought maybe could be that too?

She had 2 big poops today, good ones. Last one kinda runny at the end. But she's been walking around house givin the odd meow here and there. Just strange, don't know if she's having a flare up or what. Just gonna watch her through the night.
