A very special thank you to all for all the well wishes yesterday for Mannie on his 3yr "on-the-juice" annifursary. What a day!, and I am grateful to you all. :-D

Blue was the color of the day yesterday. Both cycles were great. We barely made green last night with a 95: what a great way to wind up an anniversary. It was his 3 year annifursary yesterday, since his DX, and what a fine way to celebrate. He had a rocky start three years ago, but has since found his footing again, thanks to all here. I hope today will be as good as yesterday. paws crossed - love ya big guy, no matter what color you are. cat_pet_icon

I wrote a few days ago about tracking Mannie's BG's on days when Nicholas was here, as I though that perhaps having my DGS here, specifically the babies cries, was stressful for Mannie, and might be elevating his BG's. I am beginning to wonder. Yesterday was DGS day, and well... no evidence that it bothered him - his BG was great. He spent most of the day in the same room, some of the time he went downstairs. I think he has just decided he has a place to go that he likes when things are unnerving. So he did, and produced 106, 115, etc numbers. YAY!! Well - might track this a bit longer. This morning we have a 168 - we shall see what he does once the baby gets here. He seems to be accepting the baby more each day. Someday: best buds for sure. :-D

All is well in MannieLand today. Purrs and happy feet for test feed shoot. No fuds dance... every time I get the camera - no fuds dance. :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol: Breffis consumed: clean plate club status intact. Nanner sleeping in progress - he spent the night there, all of them tucked in close. It was kinda cute.... He's doing great today: well, happy, content, doing Mannie things... I hope for decent weather, so he can go out for a bit.

I have my DGS today, and know condo visiting will be limited. I will try and keep Mannie's up to date. If I can't visit know that I am thinking of you all, hoping that your furkids are doing well today.

Friends!!! What a party last night. I had such fun, and am so glad everyone came to help me celebrate my 3 years on the juice! You sous chefs were the best - i lubbed it all, 'specially the fireplace thing, when we just all sat around and talked and stuff - it was so cool.... Tess: I am in love with roasted salmon puffs: YUM! I hope everybody got all their numbers texted home to their beans. sheshhh - all those meters! we did good with the testing ourselves, huh. Tess is the best! she can test herself! ok then.... what's up for today? Maybe a chillaxin' day? What'd'ya guys think? ~~ Mannie

Hi Michelle, That is really good news about Mannie and Nicholas doing much better together. Mannie is a smart kitty and he will work out his routine on DGS days. I hope that you all will have a lovely day together today and that the weather will cooperate.

Hi Michelle, a very nice cycle this morning for Mannie and his nanners. That's great no effect on his bg with DGS. Maybe it was just in the beginning when DGS first came to the house, and now Mannie is used to it! What, no whacking the civvies! Enjoy your DGS today! I was up north early for a doctor's appointment yesterday and stopped in this neat coffee shop. I looked at the menu and saw White Mocha Espresso coffee drink and thought of you. I almost ordered it but then decided I needed my strong, no cream, no sugar, cup of coffee, but did get a yummy sweet muffin for some sugar energy. Have a nice day.

Hey Mannie, yeah chillaxin sounds good and then an OTJ party for Maui. That party celebrating your 3 year Annifursary was spectacular and especially the fireplace and chatting up a storm. Shhhh...did you see my two meters...I had them hidden! See ya later alligator, Maggie

:-D :-D :-D I love this cycle! what was nice about this, for me, was that even with DGS here and that fact taking a lot of time, I could monitor an active cycle, and successfully test every hour instead of every half hour, and still have Mannie be OK. YAY!!! well..... at least today it worked! :cool: :lol: :lol: :razz:

Hi Barb - :lol: :lol: on the partying - I guess so! And yes - I really couldn't be happier with today. I was kinda "worried" about being able to handle an infant and a kitty with an active dropping cycle at the same time, but is really was OK. PHEW!, and a huge sigh of relief! Hi Ann - Yes - I think you my be right - what was once very stressful is now not so much. he's getting used to it all, doesn't let it bother him too much. If it does he just heads to where it is quiet, and things are good to go. huge sigh if relief!! and yes - no civvie whacking today -- what is up with that? :lol: :lol: ooooo - way cool of that coffee shop!! Hi Ella - I am very happy about the progress Mannie is making. He's accepted most of it - what a relief. It helps too that Nicholas is less likely to cry as hard, so it's mellowed some. :cool: :cool: :razz: and yes on the weather! It is sunny, so once he wakes up form his nap, has another feeding then we will head on out for a walk. I really need to find a pack I can carry him in. Right now he's hand held in my arms - gets heavy after a while. :lol: :lol: well duh....

Nice cycle....love the greens and really nice green surf....can't ask for more than that. Glad things are going more smoothly with DGS and Mannie, its only gonna get better. Nice job handling an active cycle and caring for DGS.....you are a great multi-tasker :mrgreen: :cool: :cool:

Mannie....whew....what a party! I'm all for chillaxin away the afternoon....until we go to Maui's party tonight! Sun is out here....I've been relaxing and enjoying it....We need to talk about that diversion idea, so I can order stuff for everybody while mama not's paying attention....I know all her passwords. ;-) :o :cool: :cool: ~Zoe

Morning Michelle...well at least it is still morning on the Pacific coast :-D What a great cycle Mannie had yesterday on his annifursary and I LOVE what he's doing today. Interesting to note that the baby has no effect on his BG OR perhaps he is just getting used to the cries by now. He's just having an amazing day. I know this makes you very happy as did yesterday's cycle. It's also good that you are able to test and deal with Mannie on the hour....I love those cycles....little carbing, not too much poking. Perfection!! Hope it continues all day and into tonight!

Hey Mannie!!! Are we going to the beach? I need some niptinis and some rope for you all to pull me down outta this tree today!! I want to be with my friends!!! Wasn't that party for you last night da bomb??? I ate too many non FD friendly things ...ooppsss...

pmps 97 - I fed Mannie pmps with a 10% from the get-go, in an effort to bump him up a little for onset. It should, in theory add about 40 points... we shall see if he follows the pattern, or has his own agenda tonight. I am hoping to see a little blue, then back to the greens. Paws crossed!

Hi Sherry - thanks!! It has been a great day for Mannie - love it, wish that it would happen all the time. so far - nice past few cycles. :-D :-D And phew: I survived today - was just a little worried about the combo of a demanding infant and a green kitty. It went well. And those two did great - better with each visit.

Hi Ann - yep, they are - little by little. He did well with my DGS today - a few basemen escapes, but hey - who's to day that he wouldn't have gone there anyways. Sometimes he does. and :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: on the video - actually some of it does - the turns and stuff. too funny.

Hi Squirrel - Thanks - we had a grand time. made it out for a walk in the sunshine with my DGS. That was fun - he is so curious about everything - just looks and looks and looks: all wide eyed. Such a great age!

Hi Marje - You at your mom's? Or..... (guess it will help when I have time to get to condos....) But yes - today the baby really did not seem to affect his BG - I couldn't have asked for a better cycle. Didn't mind last night either. Those blue ps and green nadirs are perfecto! today went well - good enough numebrs i didn't have to deal with the carbpokecarbpokecarbpokecarbpoke thing. hourly was nice.

Hi Barbara - Hasn't this been a great one? Two back to back nice cycles. even last night was good. Gosh - I do so hope this will stick. -- and yes! things with the tiny human are coming along fine. Better each day. :-D He did really good today until Nicholas let loose with one really loud holler - and *poof* Mannie disappeared to the basement. :lol: And me too on the allnighter thing...

No...never made it to mom's. I needed to but with everything going on with Teddi, I just couldn't dump all of that in Mike's lap, too, plus dealing with Gracie. We've made several trips to the vet in the last two weeks with Teddi and it's been great that Mike could be home and monitor Gracie while I ran to the vetty. Best laid plans....
