5-12 Little Man AMPS 85/+2 69/+9 93/PMBG 96

Ok just realized something. His dental is tomorrow and he isnt allowed food after 10pm. His shot time is 1015pm.... with his numbers I cant shoot if I cant feed the curve. Tha means he doesnt get insulin tonight or tomorrow morning because he will be at vet by that time and probably sedated by 1015.

Suggestions? BCS of 1u tonight...shoot an hour early? Or just no insulin till tomorrow night? I have to work Saturday so if I shoot a bit early I'd have to make up the time in 30 min increment to shoot later.

I cannot cannot believe I didnt think about this...not that I would have had much wiggle room working close shift now but ugh!:banghead::banghead:

I would not feel comfortable shooting and not being able to feed. Even with a BCS the first half he will likely go lower without food. My vet said no food after midnight. I am surprised yours said after his shot. LM does well after a skip so he will recover quickly I think.

My vet doesnt know our shot time...just no food after 10pm

ETA...he does but this would actually be two skips which is why I wanted to ask advice
 
I had to skip twice with Max. I skipped the morning of the dental and then that night because he wouldn’t eat. Some vets even have people give a BCS the day of the dental. The anesthesia lowers the bg in some cats though and my vet said no shot.

Ok fair I knew he could gonlowet and in my head I'm like ok no shot in morning. Just hadnt realized until just tonight like wait he wont get two shots LOL. I know he will recover. He does do that well. He is just really going like gangbusters last couple days hate to lose the momentum:)
