Yesterday

Late Condo Queen here. Just gotta go back to my old bad habits every now and then! ;)

Busy day, kind of stressful. When I got up this morning, Harvey hadn't eaten more than a bite or two of his t/f/s meal. :( I tested him right away and he was at 71. I was just fixing his food and meds when I heard him in the litter box, and then I heard him crying in there! :nailbiting: As I approached he came around the corner and proceeded to vomit three times - liquified food and one gelcap, opened. That was really confusing, as I could tell it was his tummy meds from last night (10 hours earlier)!! They didn't appear dissolved at all! Yet last night I could have sworn the Cypro had kicked in when he started eating an hour after I gave it to him! o_O WTH?? So then he started the Litter Box 500, going from box to box. He peed in a couple of them and had a normal poo in another. Then he had a liquipoo in one. But he kept going from box to box. He was empty now, but he was trying to go anyway. I surmised he had gas (that's what he does when he has gas). He also stopped at his dish and ate some of his breakfast! I gave him some Forti Flora and his tummy meds, and then I stressed about whether or not I should leave him alone.
I had a lunch date at +6 and a doctor appointment after that. I contemplated taking him along and dropping him at the vet's for babysitting, but then the meds kicked in and he started eating, and his BG went up a little, so I set out two big dishes of food and left, praying all the way that he would be okay. He was.

When I got home both dishes were empty and he wanted more food. It was too close to t/f/s, so I tried to distract him until it was time. Then I had to ration the food, or he'd have eaten it all right away. I gave him about 1/5th of the can at a time, at 10-15 minute intervals, and he ate the whole can (FF) with no issues! :) I just gave him another tablespoon or so (at +3) and he ate all that. So he seems to be fine and I have no idea what caused this morning's eruption. I guess he's just being a cat.:banghead:

I have to take my car in for an alignment tomorrow and will be gone at least 4 hours again. I hope we don't have a repeat of today. Not sure my heart can take it. :nailbiting:

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Extra strong vines to Sienne and to Chris.

Whatever was going on this morning, I hope he got it out of his system!! (Literally and figuratively!!) Always so scary when they act that different!!

Nice to see he's still rocking this dose though!! China's happy to have another deputy to swim with!!

OK now Harvey...you have your orders for tomorrow....No funny business, ya hear?? You can go swimming with China as long as you two stay out of trouble!!! (yeah, like that's going to happen....LOL)

Sending Tummy vines for Harvey. Glad he was feeling better and able to eat. Seems like there is always something to worry about with our kitties.

Thanks for visiting us tonight, Peg and Chris.

I totally forgot to add this picture. This is Harvey, demonstrating how hungry he was, waiting for t/f/s tonight:

That's his feeding station he's sitting on! He never does that!

Poor Harvey and poor you. I'm glad things settled down. I hope he's over whatever it was. He's such a gorgeous kitty. I hope he surfs safely today. Sending prayers. :bighug:

Holy moly what a scary start to the day! I'm so glad it passed and he seems better. It is really, really odd that a 10 hour old gelcap didn't dissolve - they should dissolve within minutes of hitting stomach acid (or even water, for that matter), which makes me wonder if maybe it was stuck in his throat (or somewhere along the lines before his stomach and that is what caused the digestive upset??? That seems impossible, too, but it is just so strange that it didn't dissolve.

Handsome picture of him...his color is absolutely stunning!!

Harvey, you handsome fella. Love those colors and that...sultry?...pose!

Sorry the morning was such a scare show. All so odd. Glad, though, that all seems fine now.

Oh, and Harvey. The bean has errands today. Be good.
