Gordy said the race is over and he wants to stay in one spot for right now. I am going to agree.

I go to Italy in a week, so Ill need to decide on a vacation dose for him. This 1.5 may be it if he holds blues. He'll be at the vets boarding.

Those blues are nice. I hope Gordy surfs safely today. A lot can change with the dose in a week. Ask a couple of days before your trip about the vacation dose. We usually recommend starting two cycles before you leave.

I agree with Carla, it's a little early to say
While he's at the vets will they monitor bg?
Are they on board with your feeding schedule and type of food? (we've had it where FD kitties have been given dry while boarding even though CG has said no dry food, many of us make a card that they can pin to their condo, saying SPECIAL DIET/ NO DRY FOOD, or something like that, that way all staff will be aware at a glance)

Yes, my vet office is awesome. :) I am going to give them my human meter so their numbers coincide with mine. They will monitor him multiple times a day, will be given his FF to give (but I'll give them backup options if for some reason he runs out). The boarders are checked on and interacted with multiple times a day. All the animals there also get free checkups every day and someone does rounds during the night! He'll be in good hands :)

The downside is that my poor little man will be in a cage a good chunk of time. It pains me. :( I saw the cages and its a decent size, but its still a cage.

When we board George I always leave lots of extra food, just in case, for some reason we get delayed when we are travelling back home, particularly when air travel is involved, and visiting another country. DH traveled a lot with work and though it's not common, he has had flights cancelled altogether, due to weather, unexploded WW2 bombs, and airline staff strikes (still happens in europe).

We'll see what Gordy does after "settling" into this dose. Agree that a week is pretty far out. One think we do recommend is choosing a dose that is "on the line" and not in between. It's better they are too high then too low even under supervision at the vets. Surf safely Gordy.

I agree about not deciding on a vacation dose yet. Rex was doing well on 3 units for a few days then he started all that mayhem.

PMPS 103
Gordy.
I have to be gone for the first few hours, so I gave the 8% LC.

Anyone have any cheaper suggestion for the higher carb LC? The Wellness is expensive LOL

What % carbs are you looking for? Nice PMBG for Gordy. And as everyone says, too soon because he might decide to take another reduction before then. ;)

I want something in the 6%-10% range. He has been eating the fish FF lately, so the main dish is 0%-1% carbs, so not much of any boost.

He lovessss the cubed Wellness. My pocket doesn't.

Some of the Friskies Tasty Treasures with Cheese are 8/9%. Here's the chart with everything listed.

Beef & Liver with Cheese Pate = 9%
OceanFish dinner with Cheese = 8%
Turkey & Chicken Dinner with Cheese 8%
