A report for those who are interested in what's going on

Leroy... just the usual bcatrun_gif bcatrun_gif and ADD with him  No more lip smacking/coughing/gasping/strange noise making episodes :RAHCAT I was thinking - I stopped using the Drinkwell around the same time the symptoms went away. And I think the symptoms never started until after I bought the Drinkwell a year or so ago. Could Leroy have been allergic to the Drinkwell? Maybe the plastic parts and/or the charcoal filter?

Leroy knows how to unzip the pocket of my fleece jacket  I had put a toy in the pocket and zipped it up and then forgot about it. Leroy later kept sniffing the jacket and pawing at it and somehow figured out how to pull the zipper down, stick his head into the pocket, and pull the toy out  Guess his intelligence isn't affected by the ADD

Emma has discovered the joys of catnip  I bought some catnip squares while at the vet hsopital and shelter today. There was a Mother Day's sale with flowers and toys and cards and stuff with all proceeds going to the shelter. Emma never cared for catnip but she had a good time chewing and flipping her square around :-D Leroy sniffed the toy and walked away

And while I was at the vet hospital, I stopped by Squishy's memorial plaque. A FDMB member had an appointment a few weeks ago and stopped by Squishy's plaque to pay respects. She left Squishy a little cat sticker. I had hoped the sticker would stay up until I was able to go visit and it did :-D Squishy's plaque with sticker The plaque is pretty high up on the wall and unless you're like 7 feet tall and actually looking at the wall very carefully you'd never see the little sticker  I hope the sticker stays up there for a long time to come.

*ahem* ;-)
Wish I had been able to meet Squishy.

MJ

So it was MJ who left the sticker for Squishy :-D

Cynthia (and Cosmo) was the only FDMB bean who has seen my Squishy. Unfortunately, it was when Squishy was in the ER and a few days before he went to the Bridge  I should post one of the happy videos of Squishy for LL beans.

Leroy and Emma have been bird watching since the crack of dawn. There's a lot of birds that fly by the windows. Occasionally one will land on the faux balcony railing which drives the civies absolutely bonkers.

In case you are looking for another fountain, there are ceramic and stainless steel types. You can opt to not use the charcoal filter.

My sister takes her cat to Angell (and Dr. B is her vet). I'll ask her to stop by Merlin's memorial next time she's there.

OMG! You would not believe what Emma just did   She launched herself at the screen of the sliding door, going after a bird no doubt, and hung there.... 4 feet up    I immediately removed Emma from the screen. The screen door is still intact, just with new holes from where Emma's claws ripped the plastic-y flexible flimsy mesh ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile

I've just been using Squisy's old ceramic water bowl since then. Neither civie care about the lack of moving water. Plus there are no parts for Leroy to play with. He was always pulling off the lid where you refill the Drinkwell from and pushing it across the floor ohmygod_smile

Thanks, Sienne  I'm sure Squishy would appreciate a visit from your sister.

There is heavier duty screen material that's available to pet-proof your screens. If you can get the door to a hardware store or check into how the door can be re-screened, it will prevent Emma from shredding your screens.

I love the photo of Squishy's plaque with the sticker on it. How nice of MJ to place it there.

I am getting my screen door replaced this week, and I think I am going with the pet proof mesh, even though it is darker. Pinkerton loves looking out the back door. He doesn't normally scratch, but here has been another orinch cat visiting the back yard, and I am worried that they will get into an altercation through the mesh. My screen door was undamaged by five cats, but could not survive one visit by my sister's dog.

I'll look into the pet screens. Not sure how I would get the screen door out of the track from the inside, though. I have a faux juliette balcony :? There must be a way, though. I'll check with the building super.

When I closed the screen door and Annie wanted in...
she just lowered he pretty little head, and ran through it.

So I reinstalled the heavier pet mesh, which apparently Binks didn't know:
he had watched Annie's stunt- so barreled at the screen to get out-
and it bounced him back clear across the dining room!! :o

That stuff really works!

HAPPY MAMA'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!
