Yesterday's normal numbers!

What a great 60th birthday present for Anne from Zener!  I think we've had no more than 5 days like this in 3+ years.  It did turn into a bit of a PJ party but mamabean Anne was up for that. Today is starting off well too.  Appy was so-so but picked up a bit at +1 (thank you, cypro and tummy massage). Zener had a picnic and did a bit of yard patrol. He's now napping in my office chair, helping with his condo.

OT: My 10K race went very well yesterday. My time was 1:05:51, 4 minutes faster than last year. :-D :-D And I feel good this morning. I would like to go for a bike ride but I think I'd better keep an eye on Zener until Anne gets up. I also have some plants to set out today (chard, tatsoi, rhubarb, summer savory) and some seeds to plant (nasturtium, Hopi beans). I joined the Garden Start CSA this year and it's been a lot of fun.

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans. Trixie is doing MUCH better! :-D :-D So is Lucy. :-D :-D Rusty is back in the mountains. The kitties sure had a good time in the city. :-D Paws crossed for Dimitri's OTJ trial. Have a great Sunday, LL!

Oh dear, I missed a birthday. Happy Belated Birthday, Anne! party_cat drinking24 (maybe it's a bit early for the glass of booze but oh well  )

Anne, I'm glad Zener gave you such an impressive present  and that it continues today, beautiful! Go Zener! And Liz, wow on the race, I'm glad you did well and feel good :-D . I'd be so sore...and to those of you with green thumbs and the patience to go with it, I commend you! Maybe we will see some pics of the gardening and things growing?? ;-) Have a great Sunday, and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to the beans!

Smart Kitteh! Coming up w/ the purrfect birthday gift for his bean! Uh, well, ……… maybe the PJ party was going a bit too far. :?

Congrats on the 10K , Liz. And really great that you aren't feeling it this morning.

What a gorgeous surf for Zener today!!!

Congrats on the race and feeling good today, too...excellent. It sounds like you have lots of springtime fun lined up for today. We used to belong to our local CSA...it was awesome. We had to quit once I opened the store, though...we just did not have time to go out in the fields to pick our veggies any more (it was a 50/50 mix of pre-picked stuff and stuff we had to pick ourselves). We got so many awesome veggies through the farm.

Have a great day, guys....Happy Birthday again, Anne!!

What nice greens for Zener today. And a good appy too. :-D

Liz, I'm glad the race went well.

I had to bring Zener in from the snow! He was laying out in the yard, flicking his ear when a snowflake landed on it. Now the sun is out, springtime in Flagstaff.

OT: We also belong to a produce CSA but we don't pick anything. The farm is too far away. I wish we could! This is a garden start CSA where we get plants every week to plant in our garden. It started to snow flurry just as I finished transplanting this morning. I hope these plants are hardy.

I think the Z-man lies snow! Whatever it is keep up the good work!

It looks like Zener is celebrating birthday's and Mom's days for you both!

You can have the spring time snow. It's been in the 80s here and I have the AC on.

Re: 5/11 Zener AMPS 97;+1 79;+2 77;+3 84;+4 82;+6 90

WOOT! Beans could get used to these sort of numbers.

Umm, snow? It's snowing here too but they are pink and coming from the cherry tree blossoms.

Paws crossed the plants survive. Got any good rhubarb recipes? I visited my DM's market/CSA garden yesterday and have loads of the stuff.

Hi guys,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANNE! 60 is a great age. I remember it well (I can still remember!)

Happy Mamabean's Day to you both! How nice of Zener to make your day so special.

Congrats on your good time in the 10K, Liz.

Z Man, you'll have to watch over the lagoon tonight. The LagoonMeister is still up on shore, getting over his trip!

Have a great evening. I hope your new plants will not be affected by a little snow.

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 5/11 Zener PMPS 68

Thank you for the good wishes and visits! :-D :-D It was just a little flurry but we had about 10 of them today. Nothing stuck at all. Zener continues to splash in the lagoon. Shh, don't disturb Mr. Liver.

Re: 5/11 Zener PMPS 68;+1.5 105

At least Zener is appropriately blue for your snow....
we don't have snow... but we have a low of 29....
already lost 3 tomato plants to cold..... so my 2 new ( much larger) plants are inside now..... we've got 4 morenights of freezing temps.....

Re: 5/11 Zener PMPS 68;+1.5 105

Wow, Zener sure knows how to celebrate! A lovely green surf today. I hope he isn't headed for a bounce, but if he is, I guess night time is the right time - beans get to sleep! ;-)

Snow flurries, huh? Well, I love snow, and that sounds like the best kind - you get to watch it fall, everything looks so pretty, dusted in white, and then it goes away without leaving dirty slush! Hopefully it doesn't stay cold long enough to hurt those new plants. We are well past that worry here, so we got our first batch of tomato plants today and put them in containers in the back yard. We usually have 8-10 and we got six today. I also have six or seven seedlings I'm nursing along under a grow light upstairs. They're only about three inches tall so far, so a ways from going outside. It's always fun to see how many of those survive and end up producing.

I hope you and Anne have a lovely evening, and Zener keeps you smiling! :-D

Oh well, all good things must come to an end.

Pokey break declared! Ni Ni LL. I-)

Anne
