Now that the cypro is pretty much out of Trix's system (last dose was Friday night), it's like a switch has been flipped. She is eating like a CHAMP! She does still need encouragement and is preferring "room service", but she just about CPCs everything I bring her. Today, I'm feeding her in 1/4 (Fancy Feast) can increments, and so far she has eaten nearly 3/4 of a can. I will keep providing room service as long as she needs it.
She also did come downstairs for breffis and ate a little of her initial round on her own, but she didn't go crazy. I think the famotidine helps her more than anything, because probably about an hour after she has that, her appy really picks up.
And she's green "sans juice" to boot  !
The gelcap went down on the second try this morning....the Bean is making forward progress, too  !!
She is bright eyed and just looks so cat-like comfortable today. I finally feel like we are making forward progress, and in hindsight I now know that the cypro was causing many issues with her and holding her recovery back. ECID for absolute sure - I know cypro a useful med for many, but I also now know to exercise caution and ask many questions about it. I'll probably talk to the vetty about it later today, and I hope she finds more info just for both of our knowledge banks, and I hope she uses our experience to help guide others who may be in a similar situation.
I'm going to attempt a quick workout before work. I'll try to sneak in a condo here and there throughout the day, since I have lots of internet work to do for the store anyway. Have a great day, LL!
