5/11 - Shen - AMPS 97, +2 90, +4 55, +5 75, +7 61, +9 71, PMPS 92, +2 76, +4 66, +5 90

If you can monitor, shoot! Sometimes stalling without food can cause numbers to drop further.
Don't fill him up. Feed a little now and again at +1.

Thanks, was just about to ask, since I was planning to feed him more.
In fact, in potentially active cycles, you feed smaller portions so they are hungry enough to eat a little every hour, if needed.

He saw a great cycle last night. Hopefully a similar one today. :-)

The deed is done :nailbiting:

Do I test every hour now? Or can I feed every hour and test @ +2, +4, +6 (and in between if BG < 50)?

Here is your BOS award for shooting your first green! :D

Oh wow :D Going to share this with Shen to see if this makes up for his less-than-fulfilling AMPS meal :p

His appetite's been great the past few days and he's slowly going back to doing things he was doing a month before.

On the flip side, his allergy has flared up again - will see if a spot-on treatment alleviates some of it, since the eye drops aren't doing much.

Yes, it's wonderful when they start reclaiming their "old lives" after their BG is brought under control :-)

Why would a spot-on help?

Why would a spot-on help?

I'm not sure it would but the last time (22nd Mar) around, post application of spot-on, his eyes stayed relatively normal without eye drops or any oral medicine.
So it felt like maybe the spot-on had a part to play.
The only thing that truly helped was prednisolone :arghh:
But he is due for a spot-on anyway. His ears are getting dirtier (ear mite poop) sooner than before.

Still don't know what triggers his allergy. Most things at home, and especially for Shen, stay the same, except for bringing in new groceries every few days.

Wow. Look at him go!

You've got this. Just feed and test. He might just head up. If higher at +3, take a break and get some sleep!
