I got very tired last night! And I thought if I could move the hour I shoot a bit earlier, so that I don't stay awake so late. This means that if I work until late, my mom will have to shoot without a prior measurement. As it is now, I shoot at 10, I shoot every night myself, and when I work early then I will test at +10 and my mom will shoot a couple of hours later. What do you think of the two alternatives?
Also, I went to the vet today, and he said her ear looks bad, but he didn't know of any other medicine to treat it, so he prescribed 5 drops of surolan twice a day for 15days. What do you think? I have posted a pic of her ear in my previous post!
I also give her pronefra renal supplement daily Ιs anybody else giving it too?
Also what is the bg value at which I need to retest andwhat is the one that I can sleep and not retest?

Di, I am not supposed to give advice because I am new here too. I would say that Lisa's numbers were pretty high today and her blues, last night, were not too low. I don't think you have a lot to worry about but if you can just check her at +4 it would be a good idea. Her nadir seems to be at +4 or +5. Feed her a good tablespoon or a 1/4 can of low carb food when you test at +4. I know you need some sleep and I don't think you have anything to worry about tonight but just give her some food at +4 and she will probably be okay. Maybe someone else will come along to offer help. I know you need some sleep.

It may also be a similar cycle to the one she had during the morning cycle today, where she flattens out in the mid 200s by +4 or +5. Depending on when you need to get to bed, since she's still in the 300s now at +3, it doesn't appear to me that she'll be dropping significantly. If it's bed time now, I think you're fine to feed a little LC and go to sleep.

I saw your pic of the ear issue, it looks very sore. Poor Lisa, are you seeing her scratch at it quite often? Did the vet run a skin scrape to test for mites?

The vet didn't do a skin test on the ear, he looked with a lense, and said it also looks bad on the inside, with autitis.
