5/11 Jill AMPS 253 - question about +10s

Hello!

I've noticed that Jill tends to be higher around +10 than she is at PMPS. Is that normal?

Example -- yesterday's BGs:
AMPS 262 | +10 180 | PMPS 152

I don't have a ton of +10 data but it's consistently higher than her PMPS. She eats at +8. Spreadsheet >

I changed/increased the number of her mealtimes this week, now every time she sees me she thinks it's time to eat!

Due for a curve tomorrow to see if the mealtime changes have impacted anything, but maybe we're ready for an insulin increase?

Those numbers are within 20% meter variance. Same with the +10 numbers on 05/04 and 03/24. IMO, Jill was pretty flat.

Butters is a late nadir cat. Oftentimes she nadirs at +12 so her +10 is higher. Also, some cats on lantus do a double dip. They go lower again toward the end of the cycle, +10 or later, but not as low as they are at nadir. So there are normal reasons for getting a lower PMPS reading.

I hear you on the feeding. Whenever I make a move toward the kitchen, Butters comes flying in and starts acting like she is starving and must be fed now.

Good luck with the curve! It will be interesting to see what her numbers are like throughout the cycle now that you've changed up mealtimes.

Hard to say whether an increase is called for yet - we need to see those nadirs. Yellow start, blue finish leads me to think she's going nice and low somewhere in the middle of those cycles. Perhaps the curve tomorrow will tell the tale :)
