Good Morning! For the first time since I've been using it, the 5 compartment feeder didn't operate properly last night. I had a very hungry cat this morning! It got stuck between two compartments and Liz managed to get every last molecule of food out of those two compartments, but she didn't get her 4am and 6am feeding. The things a little wonky - you have to be sure it's in the right position, which I thought it was. Anyone have advice? I didn't advance it because it seemed to be in the right position, but maybe it needs advancing every time?
Healing vines and positive energy to all kitties and beans who are in need.:bighug:

Aww, poor baby! Hopefully Liz is much happier now that she has had breakfast.

Maybe change the batteries and see if that helps. I would do a few tests during the day today to make sure that is functioning properly.

Congratulations on Day 13!

Everytime I am using the feeder (which is everyday -- I actually have two, one for the AM cycle and one for the PM cycle), I will normally advance it one or two times to make sure that it is in the correct position, before I put his food in it. I have been doing that since I got mine about 8 or 9 months ago and have not had a problem with it not advancing. Once I have advanced it one or two times I start fillin er up with Skooter food!

I do the same as Molly, advance it once or twice manually, and have had no problems. Lulu having been recently diagnosed, I haven`t had mine very long.

I also always advanced it 2 turns manually. I'm pretty positive that the reason it doesn't always advance all the way, which is what the complaints on Amazon are pretty much all about, is that it didn't get fully seated in the base unit.

Happy day 13!! Tomorrow's the big party!

Congratulations on Day 13! Liz and I are off on an Alaska cruise, leaving home tomorrow, so we want to say something about life at the falls and all of that but we don't want to jinx anything!;)

Here's to tomorrow looking like this and a great party!

I always had problems with mine. It would get stuck between compartments and Stu couldn't get his head into it to get the food. I finally replaced it with a CatMate C2 (2-compartment mechanical feeder with pop up lids). i love it! And the mechanical timers are easy to set (just like kitchen timers: no fooling around with digital stuff!)
