Hi LL!
Eddie and I are still alive. Bad, bad bean not only failed to post here, but I actually started slacking on Eddie's SS since he was being very boringly (and nicely) blue and green. I've missed so much! So terribly sad to read about some of the losses here in LL - Blackie, Milo, Scooter - and thrilled to read about some of the OTJs - Tonka, Rooh, Rosa, and Panther!
After Eddie's dental on 4/1, it took a solid two-and-a-half weeks before he really seemed to feel pretty good and was racing around playing like normal. Then he was coughing for a few days - maybe allergies? It's been so nice, we had windows open, and that seemed to coincide with the coughing. He had a taco raid in there too. We did have to go back up in dose to 0.25, and then after a couple weeks took it back down to 0.125.
Then, we bought a house and closed in less than four weeks between the offer and the close date. We started moving in this past weekend. The cats were the first load. Eddie hasn't coughed since we moved in. We had a leaky roof in the apartment and it makes me wonder if there was mold.... Eddie's been having an absolute blast racing around the new house. We have WAY more space than we did in the apartment. He feels great!
Since our lease isn't up until the end of May we're moving in bits and pieces, which is kind of nice as it gives us a chance to do things at a bit more of a leisurely pace. Eddie got his normal shot in the new house on Friday night, but then was at 67 on Saturday morning. Since we were going to be running around all day, we decided to skip. Low and behold, he held normal numbers under 100 all day. Even though he really hasn't technically earned the last reduction, we decided to skip the PM dose too to see what would happen, and he's been holding in normal numbers since. He's coming down from the low blue pre-shots nicely after he eats. We do not have the auto feeders set back up yet, so I'm hoping once we're back up and running with those and Eddie's getting his customary +9 snack, it will nudge the numbers down just a hair. If not, back on the juice he goes! Notably, Eddie's 18 month anniversary is on Wednesday this week.
So many trials going on right now, including Zeke's - another long-termer. How cool is that having two long-termers on trial at the same time??
Prayers and vines for all kitties and beans in need, including a sprinkling of OTJ vines for my boy, Eddie.

Eddie and three of the other cats are happy as clams to explore and run up and down the stairs and blast around on the hardwood floors and look out all the windows. Our fraidy cat Princess has taken up residence in my closet, but is very slowly getting braver.
