Thank you, Summer. He’s not eating much. Today he ate a few times— mostly kibble. But right now he can eat anything he wants. I just feel like crying. I have/have had enough cats to know that when they stop eating it is not a good sign. You can keep them going for a while but...Hey Suzanne. How is Darcy? Is he eating? Don't be discouraged with the numbers. He has been going through some issues. I can't thank you enough for all the information you provided to me today. I just want you to know that I am here for support.
And thank you so much for being there!Hey Suzanne. How is Darcy? Is he eating? Don't be discouraged with the numbers. He has been going through some issues. I can't thank you enough for all the information you provided to me today. I just want you to know that I am here for support.
I'm am so sorry that you are so afraid for Darcy. Just remember that you were afraid for him before and he hung in there and came home. I can feel your concern and worry. I'll be praying for both of you. You have fought so hard for him. Just don't give up. Never give up. I believe in miracles.Thank you, Summer. He’s not eating much. You know, Liz. Thanks so much for reminding me about the Tiny Tiger. I had put it away in a cabinet under the "Verboten" foods now that Darcy has kidney problems. You know, it's really too high phosphorus for him. But there isn't any reason why I cannot give him this with the Aluminum Hydroxide Phosphate binder (I think?). Yesterday, I got so wrapped up in being depressed and forcing food into him that I forgot. And I'm going to go get some Darcines tooOh Suzanne, I am so sorry you are feeling like this. The not eating is the biggest stress out there...let's hope the vet has some suggestions tomorrow as to what's behind it. It was not so long ago I was in tears with her not eating and stressing about needing the feeding tube. I hope this is something Mr Darcy just needs to get through and come back to singing again. Is he getting the Mirtazapine? (or do I vaguely remember you aren't a fan of that for some reason?)
Seriously, have you tried the darcines? I know I sound like a pusher but Minnie is such a picky thing. I just tested out everything in the treat box which I bought on recommendations from this site. She refused everything, she turns up her nose and backs away "what is this trash you are offering me?" - then Sam hoovers it up. Even the Nulo which she loved while she was sick - flared nostrils. I didn't know a cat could flare its nostrils before now. But man, she loves those darcines. And her new favorite, the Tiny Tiger. Tell Darcy that he made a good recommendation on that one.

Are you saying she flares her nostrils in disgust at the Nulo food that she formerly liked? Too funny. What a diva.Oh Suzanne, I am so sorry you are feeling like this. Thanks for making me chuckle (again!)Is there aTrader Joe's near you? Their darcines are in water with no salt.
And yes...she flinched and flared her nostrils at something she liked before. I'm cautious about what I mix her meds in now because it turns her off it. RIGHT NOW she is scratching the floor by her bowl like it's a litter tray so I know she discovered the spironolactone liquid. I think that's how I ended up giving both of them diarrhea, testing out too many foods at once. I don't fit into patience pants.
