Ok, we have noticed a bit of a problem with Cosmo over the last few weeks (since the food change to Wellness beef and chicken). He seems to have some neurological symptoms - like strange, jerky head movements, tail swishing, and seems a bit anxious at night.

Food change? Way less carbs? Better numbers? Too low for him? Big swings in BG? Did he eat something outside he shouldn’t have?
He has turned his nose up at the new LC wet a day or so ago and has been sort of obsessed with eating grass. We gave him some of his old food (MC) yesterday and again today. He is eating well, good on the other Ps, and the head jerking seems to be gone. He seems more himself today. relaxed and happy.

So what to do? Do we try to keep him a bit higher in BG? Do we stick with the MC food? Ideas? I’m a little worried about giving him Wellness moving forward...maybe a bad batch?
 
Oh boy. I'm not sure...I'd maybe try a new batch but if symptoms come back then forget it. I don't really see anything on the SS that could be causing that...
 
Is it possible for a cat to have withdrawal symptoms after removing most carbs from their diet? I'm not sure why he would have neurological symptoms from a food change, unless there was a nutrient missing in the new food. But you're feeding Wellness, not a homemade diet, so that seems unlikely. Is it possible he is allergic to something in the new food? Are you feeding him the same proteins as his old food?

I know you're super careful about making any kind of changes with Cosmo, but the only other thing that comes to mind is did you make the switch slowly or quickly? Put a little of the new food into the old food for him each day over a long period of time?

If it were me, I'd probably try to rule out that the new food doesn't seem to be causing his symptoms? Maybe it was a coincidence and if so maybe he needs to be checked out by the vet?
Or is there a different LC you can try?

Oh no, sorry to hear Cosmo was acting off. Is Jasper on the same food? Have you looked at the ingredients in FF Beef? Might be an option? I know Koha makes a Beef pate.
