Yesterday

A little higher start to today but nothing like yesterday.

I skipped giving R this morning because we are going to be out and about. But I'm also curious if giving him more and more R is providing the antibodies more "food" to feast on and making them stronger. I wonder if, while a useful tool, it should be used judiciously for IAA kitties. It used to be a drop or 2 brought him down, now it takes several units. Just something I've been thinking about.

It's been a tough year for you and you've had a lot of challenges, but you're learning so fast and doing everything you can for Cobb!

He's a very lucky kitty to have you as his bean!

Hi Suzanne - Happy Mother's Day to you. You especially deserve a day for all you do for Matty and Cobb.

I don't really have an answer for the R question, but having looked at other SS for kitties with IAA (and with acro), they don't seem to get a lot higher in their dosage than you are now but do seem to use it regularly when in higher numbers. I also have read that insulin antibodies react more to the depot insulins than the short acting ones. But that was a study on humans so not sure what the effects are for cats.

Cobb is stubbornly sticking around in these higher numbers! I do wonder actually if my insulin is bad. It has a huge air bubble in the pen. No floaties. But huge air bubble.

As long as you're not sucking up air, the bubble shouldn't matter.

When I got down to the end of my last pen this morning, I pulled up China's dose and wasn't sure about it, so tried to push a little out..got air, so knew there wasn't anything in the pen

It's only been a couple of days since you did the 18 hour shot schedule. That will deplete the depot a bit. Paws crossed Cobb turns it around tonight or tomorrow.
