Hi all,

So sorry I dropped away but a lot of things have developed that required attention and all I was able to do was record things with Buddy on his SS. Every second of the last few weeks needed my attention and it seems that the future coming months are going to be a little stormy.

His BG's have started to rise a bit and we went with a "newer" unused insulin pen. That seemed to do the trick but then it started to creep back up and today is was 350. Has not been that since we started a few months back. We gave 1u today since we will be home all day and be able to check on him.

Again so sorry to have gone MIA, but we have had some rather unfortunate set backs that needed all our attention (see a previous loose lips), not that Buddy is no. 1 but I'm sure you all know what I mean.

Prays and thoughts to all, and thanks to all that have been a wonder help.

Buddy. oh, yeah and that humon Mike....................

Re: 5/09 Mike's Buddy AMPS#350

Glad to see you back and sorry for what sounds to be a difficult time.

Any chance you've got a day coming up when you can get a curve? It would be helpful to see more of what's going on throughout the cycle.

Re: 5/09 Mike's Buddy AMPS#350

Hi, I have been checking as I can. We are on medical leave at the moment so we can check more as we can for the time being.

Looks like a slow curve drop.... what do you think? See SS.

Re: 5/09 Mike's Buddy AMPS#350

It is a low drop, maybe even into the blues.

What Im most curious about is that big change from lots of blues to the loss of momentum. Has Buddy been his usual self? I want to rule out anything medical or dental that may be effecting numbers.

I wouldn't stick with this dose for much longer. You don't want Buddy getting used to being in higher numbers.

Re: 5/09 Mike's Buddy AMPS#350

Hi, I have checked him over several times. He does have a bit of tarter build up on some teeth and maybe needs a scraping or two. He is eating well, no unusual motions and habits.

It's just speculation but since his numbers become low for a while there has been no trace of sores popping up (sssh, no to loud).

No HC foods, only FF and no snacks or people food ever.

I'm not sure whats going on about these sudden highs for the last couple of weeks. I had suspected maybe the vile of insulin I have (1st got when starting) may be going bad and started him on another one. but since starting the new stuff there really has not been much of a change.

just sending hopes for things to settle down for you...and this to Buddy...

COME DOWN FROM THERE!!

Re: 5/09 Mike's Buddy AMPS#350

OK, so we have a 204 at +10. But he did have some light din-din an hour ago.

Wonder if I should stick with a 1u or go back to 0.75u?

Re: 5/10 Mike's Buddy PMPS#187

We have a 187 with a 1u shoot.

Now lest see if this works out, I am rather puzzled about the highs that have been happening.
