Morning L&L
Well yesterdays treadmill experience was a disaster. I put his harness and leash on he thought we were going outside. I made the mistake of starting the treadmill and placing him on it he freaked and lost a toe nail trying to scramble off the thing. Rest of the time he sat and had a stare down. I did manage to get him back on it to eat his dinner. I'll try and put him on it a few times with it not running.

Had you turned it on before that? Maybe that's what you need to do several times so he doesn't think it's a monster out to get him?

Does the treadmill have a super slow setting? I would definitely start as slow as possible and make sure that he has a reason to keep walking (treats, a toy, whatever motivates him). When we started my dog Lenny out on the underwater treadmill, he was walking at a snail's pace and only for 1 or 2 minutes. He's up to 18 minutes now on a much better speed.

Poor Fritz. I hope he calms down about the treadmill and things go better next time. I hope his breathing is better today. Sending prayers.
