Good Morning All

Okay, yesterday's experiment is over. We're going back to the 1 drop dose. I'll try to manage his lows with food.
I just can't see, letting him sit in blue all day, just because he drops too low, once in the cycle.
I am using a bad batch of syringes also. I will call ADW, when they open this morning, and see if they will replace them.
I wasted 2 again this morning, before getting one, that I could remove the bubbles from.
The bubble(s) stick to the plunger. Too much flicking, then makes the bubbles tinier, and useless.

So Checkers started the day fine. Ate lots. Had his sink water. Checked out the screen porch. I have to watch him carefully, when he's out there in the morning. If another cat was on the deck overnite, Checks will spray. Once that tail goes up, I rush to get newspaper behind him. He won't spray out the screen either, he likes to water the wicker

As Iorwen pointed out, that smell is nasty.....not fun to clean.

Goodluck going back to the dose that worked. Hopefully Checkers won't drop too low.

Enjoy your Tuesday, hope Checkers doesn't spray, that scent is not pleasing.

It's frustrating with those small bubble Barb....hope you two have a good day. You have to be a speedy one...getting that newspaper behind him like that. Oh boy. Wonder what the bored people re doing? LOL
I be there are people just hanging out, reading a book and eating bonbons...not a care in the world.
For myself, I sat helplessly watching Shadow in the LB the other day....standing up a little too high...and the steam was hitting the wall...that's right, missing the LB in an unintentional mess that I had to deal with when he was finished. There is never an end to the things we have to watch out for...and be ready to deal with....
bonbons...hmmmm.....wonder what it's like to be bored?

Pat, in case you come back and see this. I buy very high, plastic storage boxes, that I use for litter boxes.
I take a hacksaw, and cut the opening in front, then put duct tape around it, so it's not sharp edges.
Checks also wets the back wall. He piles up the litter in the corner, then stand his back feet on it. Grrrr!

It took years to come up with that solution. I used to hang plastic behind the boxes, with it hanging down into the box to drain back in. Mind you, my boxes are in an alcove in their own room, not the main part of the home, so no one sees it.
He has ruined LitterMaid boxes, before I figured out what was happening.

Now what? 214@ +2? Hmmmm, suspicious of that pen with bubble. There's no reason for him to be bouncing,

Hi guys .. well at least you got the experiment figured out .. looks like checks might need that drop for awhile longer .. hope that he doesn't do any spray damage today .. have a great day guys!

Good luck Barb, with the back to one drop dose. It's amazing how much a difference a drop makes (if we can both do it with the annoying bubbles problem)! Have a wonderful day! I love how Checks prefers sink water. I used to have a kitty who would drink water from the bathtub faucet and also drip water on his paw and wash his face.

Chex!! you little devil!!!

spraying and keeping the momster running...

My bratlet is totally OCD about his box...he's calling me to come clean before he even finishes... :YMSIGH:

back to a drop...but then...it's only a drop!

What a day. As if it wasn't bad enough, I think, but not sure, he got into kibble.
I'm not sure, he got a dose this morning. I've been complaining about this batch of syringes, all week.
There are always little bubbles clinging to the plunger. I can't get them off. When I flick, it makes them even smaller. Also the plunger is not smooth moving.
So I called ADW this morning, to tell of the problem. Rep no. one, hands me over to rep no.2, who tells me, after I barely got half the words out, that they don't consider bubbles in the syringe, a defect.
I tried to explain the severity of the problem, asking for compensation, and again, she told me "we don't consider bubbles a defect"
At that point, I saw it was useless to talk anymore, and they lost a customer.

Almost time for shot. I better start preparing one of those nasty syringes. He ate late, and it's going to be reflected in his preshot. *sigh*
Is it tomorrow yet?

Re: 5/10 Checkbook pmps 249

263 amps
242 +1
214 +2
147 +3
218 +6
275 +11
249 pmps
Well, he's consistent.

He came down a bit, despite eating, just 45 minutes before shot. I know 30 points is really the same number, but it looks better.
Had to fight another bad syringe, so I suspect I'll be up late, carbing.

In NY, I have to go to vet, to get a prescription for syringes, to get them immediately at local pharmacy. Phooey!
I have some good ones, without the half u marking. Maybe i'll play with those and see if I can do one drop.

one has to love customer service reps..... reminds me of a time when I had a printer problem - ended up having to call Customer "service": ended up in india  with some dude who kept repeating the company line "let me help you" crappus. well to make a long story short... won't ever buy that brand of a printer again. 10 days of dealing with them, and they never could fix the problem.   i am sorry though that ADW wasn't more concerned. Maybe call the manufacturer? sorry on the bubble/syringe problem - which brand?

and no... it is not tomorrow yet.... but soon enough.... :-D :-D

CHECKERS! dude!!! no kibble - it is SO BAD for you!!! but I bet it sure tasted good. ~~ Mannie

Re: 5/10 Checkbook pmps 249

It is the Sure Comfort brand. First time I've tried them. Last too.
I lost only around $15. Not a big deal, except now I have to hurry to replace them.

Don't you just love talking to another country with a problem? They are only reading script from a book, and have no idea how to solve a problem themselves. They try.

How's that for being positive? Sheesh, this being nice stuff, hurts. *grin*

Re: 5/10 Checkbook pmps 249

'Hello...My name "Peggy"...

i'm sorry, but can't help poking fun...

i went round and round...but i'm in love with the Monoject syringes i got from GNP...

course i don't have anything to do now but squirt the cats with water from syringes...(anti-jinx)

Re: 5/10 Checkbook pmps 249

BAHAHAHAHAHA! Ohhh, I needed that...
I guess I watch too much TV, 'cause I didn't have to think about the reference.

Oh yeah, Yaaay on the +2. Sometimes waiting up, is worth it.

Re: 5/10 Checkbook pmps 249 +2/107

you didn't have anything you wanted to do tonight anyway. i suspect i'll be up keeping you company!

Re: 5/10 Checkbook pmps 249 +2/107

   on the "my name is peggy".... and yeah i know on the reading a script from a book - every conversation I had started the same - it got to the point that I could recite it before he answered the phone....

I will remember not to but those syringes.... monojets here - I really like them. once in a while there are bubbles, but not bad over all.

and now for the good stuff: CHECKERS - NICE JOB!!! and back to checker numbers. YAY!! SWEET! WOOT!! what a recovery! :-D :-D :-D

What a day you've had Barb.....and one little drop...sheesh!!!! Go Checks.

If I get a customer service rep in another country, I ask them to transfer me to someone in the U.S. They always do....

When I got the FS lite from ADW and did not like it, I called customer service and got the "can't return it if you opened it and it's not defective". So I asked for the supervisor. I told her that it was reading MUCH MUCH lower than my OT and that it could endanger my kitty if it did not read correctly so for all I know, it had a defect and I didn't care if I had opened it or not. They fully refunded my money except shipping.

Uh....gosh that sounds like I'm a bully
